Tatazo Food Truck — Restaurant in Killeen

I had a taste for birria tacos and wanted to check out a new spot instead of going to my usual food truck for them. I've passed Tatazo several times, but I finally decided to give them a try. The birria tacos had really good flavor, but they were soggy instead of crispy by the time I got home. It was disappointing, but seeing as they at least had flavor, I powered through and finished them. The consumé helped, and unlike some places, it wasn't just a cup of grease and oil. The horchata was better than a lot I've had in the area, so there are no complaints on that end. I'd try the birria tacos again, but I'd eat them in the car there. I visited a friend in Killeen (I’m from NJ) and we went to this place the last day I visited and we both agreed it was the best food we have had this whole trip! I ordered 4 birria tacos which came with consommé for about $17. Although this may be pricy to some, I’ve paid $20 for 2 birria tacos back in NJ. My friend ordered the birria ramen with a side of tortillas and a drink which came to about $15. Both the tacos and ramen were so fresh, flavorful, and packed with meat. Other bonuses: the woman behind the counter was also very nice, there is nicely decorated outdoor seating with another food truck close by, and they accept both cash and card. Delicioso! I’ve had Birria Tacos 🌮 in many different cities and states but this place right here is hands down the best I’ve had! The couple running this food truck was very nice and had my order done pretty quickly! Was at Killeen Auto Sales talking to the guys about cars 🚘 and where could I find Birra Tacos in town, Jim at the dealership had mentioned this place! Wow! Super impressed!
