Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Kilmarnock

Would have preferred to give 2.5 stars since only half my visits are ever successful. Was a good place when it opened but it has gone seriously down hill. I only get ice cream there as I prefer other places for food. They get my order wrong 50% of the time and the service sucks. I ordered a milkshake a couple weeks ago and when I got to the window he said it was gonna be more than I typically pay. I assumed prices went up. Checked my receipt and they charged for mix ins I didn't ask for which is why it was more expensive. I liked what they charged me for so I wasn't going to say anything. Then they tried giving me a milkshake with no mix ins. When I questioned it, they told me they can't put that type of mix in (Reese cups) in a milkshake (lies because I've gotten one before) so no it wasn't made with them. When I said something about being charged for it they wanted to argue and I told them I was holding the receipt that literally says they charged me. At which point they were well what do you want us to do? Give me the difference of my money back. Then that was an issue because there was no manager on site to approve the transaction in the computer. Finally got my money back and when I counted it, it wasn't even the right amount.

Tried going back today and they got my order wrong yet again, and gave my milkshake to me in a busted cup. Instead of pouring it in a new cup they just put my cup in a second cup and I thought they'd accidentally given me two. I took the extra one off because I thought it was an extra and couldn't figure out where the ice cream kept leaking out of until I finally saw the cracked cup. I'll definitely be sticking to my local ice...

My family and I parked to go inside, and before we had even fully gotten out of the car a male staff member stopped us and told the inside isn’t open, only to go through the drive through and see people inside ordering. Lady at the drive through window said she didn’t know why they were an exception and allowed in. However more people continued to walk in as we were turned away. They also neglected to give us all of our order so we had to circle back and MORE people were allowed inside. Not to mention the workers had terrible attitudes, we did not encounter a single friendly staff member. Will never return to this location after...

I give this less than a year. Went there 12:15 in the afternoon on a Tuesday. Hardly anybody in the place, yet still took way to long for a double Cheeseburger and fries. You can see employees just standing around talking in the back. It looked like they assembled the double Cheeseburger blindfolded. I'm sure DQ is going give the typical we're sorry for your experience response and I'm supposed to believe that they are really sorry. Which says other DQs are probably not much better when their franchise owners can do what they want and corporate...
