Small Town Burger Kilmarnock — Restaurant in Kilmarnock

This is the best local burger spot!! The food is ALWAYS delicious and the service is spot on. Never waited longer than 10-15 minutes for an order and never had an incorrect order. The menu is fairly simple which is nice because I believe it helps keep the wait times down. The lobster rolls are packed with meat and definitely worth trying. They also carry a selection of curated bottled beverages that you won’t get at the corner convenience store (or most restaurants for that matter). If you like a sweet treat after your meal (you’re probably not going to have room though if you have a double burger!!) they have a small selection of pre-packaged ice cream items like cones, bars, and sandwiches.

Theres plenty of (outdoor only) seating and the tables are always surprisingly clean. They have a few fire pit tables which are nice for socializing after you’ve eaten or while you wait but, in my opinion, not practical for eating due to the small amount of actual table space. However, plenty of people enjoy eating at them, especially when the weather gets cooler. However, these burgers are far too sloppy to be eaten without leaning over the table (but in the very best way!) and I enjoy having hair so I’ll pass on that one lol.

One of my favorite features about STB is the ability to order ahead on your phone through their website. Sometimes I prefer to eat my food at home (so I can hide my shame as I waddle myself to bed and slip into a glorious food coma after eating their amazing double burger lol). So THANK YOU for this considerate service STB!!

The only “caution” I will give is the pricing.

Out of all of the places to go to in the Northern Neck, Small Town Burger has been the most welcoming places. If you want to enjoy an amazing meal, surrounded by fun vibes, clean, outdoor seating, fire pits, cornhole and friendly staff, you MUST TRY Small Town Burger! I love going here with friends or family! They use the highest quality products, so I know I’m getting what I pay for. I always have the most amazing time because you can just tell that the owners care about the customers. They truly have made a gem on the Kilmarnock strip. We are truly blessed to have such an amazing small family owned business that has proven time and time again that they go above and beyond for each and every person that comes in to bless their taste buds.

What a great place! I had been showing homes outside of Kilmarnock. I was on my way home, driving through the town, and saw Small Town Burger. The outdoor/food truck set up was inviting even on a windy day. The Lobster Roll sign was the final factor to make me turn in. I ordered two Connecticut Rolls and one Maine. After mentioning to the owner that I would be traveling home with these for my husband and son he offered to package the lobster meat separately from the bun so it would be better when I got it home for my guys.
