The Rivah — Local services in Kilmarnock

The Rivah is a fun place to shop in downtown Kilmarnock. I shop there on many occasions and Always find the perfect gift!! I am always greeted and helped by staff. Even during the pandemic, The Rivah was the ONLY place I shopped as they accommodated online sales, phone call sales and even delivered my items outside of the store in a safe and by the book manner. It upsets me to think people would write low reviews over face masks!!! Come on people!!! The owner has done EVER measure that has been asked of her not only by state government but local as well. And has done it correctly. Hello, she has a WHOLE store of inventory...as someone in the industry, how could you not respect that she or her staff ask that you abide by sanitary precautions? Masks and hand sanitizer??!?! Not too much to ask, seeing how owners have to police their own stores, it would frustrate me to have to ask someone to properly wear a mask. And the person upset about having to buy one...ha. Multiple stores around are asking the same civic notion and sell them in their stores as well...I can name 3 other local stores. So, instead of being negative on someone's livelyhood....maybe people should be a little more like, " oh wow, here is a business that actually CARES about it's patrons. Cares that Germs live on surfaces and wants me as a patron to be careful not to spread something...That cares for those that enter to be as safe as possible and cares about her staff and family back home. " Maybe me as a patron can be a little bit more careful as well, and when I feel well enough to properly wear a mask, I will then enter a building. Again, I will continue to shop at The Rivah and feel safe in doing so!!! Annnnnd get GREAT stuff in doing so!!! Keep up the GREAT work...and THANK YOU FOR CARING ABOUT YOUR LOCAL...

I went to visit this store yesterday with friends....we went to try and support local businesses during the pandemic. We ended up spending quite a bit of $$ in the town, but, after the rude greeting at the entrance and being asked, in a rude way to wear our masks properly, which we were, but, one of my friends has high anxiety and had pulled hers down slightly for a few seconds to breathe for a bit, her mouth completely covered (not only does she have anxiety, but, other health issues that are hindered by the mask), we decided to spend our time and $$ in stores that were over the top nice and appreciative. Keep in mind, all of us had masks on as we entered. After entering we were told that we must clean our hands to enter, (like we were dirty), I am 100% about offering hand sanitizer and shops that had it available to use, we so appreciated it. I own a retail shop myself and have for 20 years, and I have hand sanitizer and masks available, but, I would never treat my customers this way. I felt very uncomfortable, and not welcomed there. I truly hope that they will consider their approach with people trying to support their...

I have recently been to this store on several occasions to experience horrible customer service. I understand about wearing masks, I’ve been wearing one since April for my job. As I was walking around with a few friends from out of town, my mask slipped down my nose. I was immediately told to wear my mask right!!!!! I just recently moved here and was excited about this store and merchandise! I will never buy anything from either of your businesses or bring any of my visitors there.
