Stacked Grill — Restaurant in Kingsburg

We visited Stacked today at a time when there were only 2 other groups dining. We order 3 sandwiches and an appetizer. Shortly after our arrival they got a lunch rush. We began to notice all of the other tables around us getting their food. My husband inquired after 30 min. They told us it was coming up. Nothing. I inquired after 45 min and they told me it'd only been 15 min. and suggested I get a copy of our receipt from the bartender, since I tapped 'no receipt' when we ordered. The bartender was kind and competent, and even though we did not order from her, she found our food order and printed the receipt. It had indeed been close to an hour since we'd ordered and dozens of orders had gone out after us. I took the receipt to the counter. The apparent manager continued to tell me it'd only been 15 min and that all of these people had been there before us. She kept pointing to her screen, which I told her was incorrect and refused to look at the receipt she'd just had me get to prove what we had been saying for awhile now, we had ordered almost an hour earlier. Finally she looked at the receipt and without apologizing or even trying to explain what may have happened, she just said 'I'll refund you'. So I took the refund and will never return again. After 8 years in the restaurant buisness myself, I understand that mistakes happen. Mistakes are permissible and to be expected, but to blatantly tell us we were wrong, make us get a receipt from a different employee, and then to deny the proof in the pudding was outrageous. Today was husband's birthday. I do not recommend Stacked in Kingsburg because heaven forbid something go wrong, like they lose your order, they are incompetent in correcting it. My husband and 1 son stayed to finish the last 15 min of the football game they were watching. In that 15 minutes, still NO food, NO apology, NO explanation and NO attempt to correct the situation. Was our first time visiting, very reminiscent of a smaller and cozier Dawg-House: where you order as you walk-in.. HOWEVER, the girl greeting us at the register was not helpful, she had an abrasive attitude and to be honest, ZERO personality. After standing there looking around for a few minutes, we asked her when do we get seated, she smugly blurts out, you have to order first, and then you can sit wherever.. generally motioning into the dining area booths and tables. We looked at ourselves and said, "do we really want to eat here, the experience so far had been suspect? We decided to give the food a try, we where hungry and it was a 20min drive to get to Kingsburg, lets order. Again, we repeated, it was our first time visiting Stacked to the young lady taking our order at the register. She continued to stare at us, blank expression on her face. I asked her point blank for recommendations? She was no help, in that "she hadn't eaten anything besides fries?" WHAT? Disappointing 1st visit to say the least, the food smelled fantastic, burgers where infact delicious, fountain drink machines could be cleaned more often. Overall, 3/5 the food was quite tasty, sweet potatoe fries where crispy and theu where quite generous with ranch...

I used to love this place until tonight. There was girls their tonight 5/25/23 at 8:45pm. Two of the girls their were so rude. First their food isn’t the greatest it’s very salty. I can get over that though. What made me upset and ruined our night was me and my kids were their enjoying a meal with a few drinks whenever we asked for a condiment or a box the girl with the pink hair on her ponytail straight up ignored us. She would look away which was very rude. We were their already at 9:10pm they are telling us to leave or go to the bar because they were closed. It was a very rude way of telling us. VERY DISRESPECTFUL I believe it was the cook that night. I’m very unhappy with the service. If a company is kicking customers out when they are not finished eating I will not be stepping into this restaurant again. They need new and more respectful employees or teach their employees manners. I would recommend Me n Ed’s in Kingsburg they let you sit with your kids enjoy your meal in peace and have a drink EVEN IF THEY ARE CLOSED!
