Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Kingston

This -WAS- the BEST Sonic that I have ever visited. Drive thru, consistently less than 2 minutes, from driveway to food in hand! NOT ANYMORE!!!

Spending 27 years in retail, I am pretty good at spotting corporate "Geniuses" in a location. Everyone uptight, nervous, and flustered. It was the same at my stores. These "Geniuses" barge into the store and start badgering the employees. Finally, I told my employees to just do their job and if the boss asked them any question, tell the boss to ask me.

This Sonic used to run smooth, employees always smiled and gave exceptional service. I waited 7 to 10 minutes -at the drive up window- for an Iced Coffee. "We ran out and have to make some more." Damn, corporate Genius, WHY? Get the hell out of the store and allow people to do their job. Find someone doing something right, and TELL THEM!!! The corporate way is not always the best way. I had the corporate Vice President in my store. I had changed a display. He asked me why, chewed me out. I told him to stand in the back of the store and watch. He apologised and told me that he saw what I was doing and a free standing store, the flow is different than a mall. The point? Give guidelines and get out!!! You do more harm than good, and I am seriously thinking about NEVER making my daily trip to Sonic...

I went to order drinks sat for about 15 min after pressing button pressed again to make sure it worked it did, never an answer. Left without getting any service. Had PLENTY workers approx 4 carhops 2 employees in parking lot etc. I like sonic I wish this one was under better management so we got fast n friendly service. Or service at all for that matter Just another review for the Sonic here in Kingston. This time the service was much better! I hear there under new management, & I can at tell a difference! Fast & friendly service today. Won't give more stars till I notice it this way more than once....

I did the My Sonic App order and this was not happy hour. 7 drinks and 2 pretzels took 30 minutes and they were not that busy......I felt sorry for the car hops but I received part of my drinks with the lids hanging off and had to wait on napkins before I could put them in the vehicle. They were out of drink carriers.....and I had to call them back because they shorted us a drink that we discovered before we left. This is the second time I have been to this Sonic and honestly both times were terrible. I am not happy that this is such a negative review however I will not...
