Kingsville Steakhouse — Restaurant in Kingsville

Unfortunately, my family and I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant, which calls itself a steakhouse. The prices were indeed what you’d expect at a steakhouse, but the food quality was closer to fast food — and not in a good way.

All of our dishes were extremely salty, to the point where none of us could really enjoy the food. Beyond the saltiness, the dishes were just bland and lacked flavor.

The service also left much to be desired. When the waitress brought our bread plates, they were wet, and instead of replacing them, she simply handed us napkins and said, “The plates are wet, here — dry them yourself.” That was completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

On top of everything, the restrooms were dirty — not just untidy, but neglected for what seems like years. The faucets were covered with a thick layer of lime and mineral buildup, making it clear they hadn’t been properly cleaned in a very long time.

Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. I would not recommend this place to anyone expecting decent food,...

I have been to this place twice. I was not disappointed either time. Both times I ate the boudin balls as an app. SO good!!

Took a client and we had boudin balls amd southwestern egg rolls or rattlesnake bites as they call them. The were similar to what is served at Chili's, but I thought tasted better. As I mentioned before. Boudin balls were just amazing. Ate a steak and rib plate the first time. Flavorful, but steak was dry. Asked or medium well and it came back well done. Some will say this is why it was dry...but I have had steaks well done and still juicy. Never the less...still had great taste. Ribs were good. Mac n cheese side was fair. Nothing spectacular. My client had a roast beef sandwich. She said it was very good. Raved about the apps as well.

Second time I went i was looking for a salad. Ordered salad with grilled shrimp. Mercy! Was so good. Grilled shrimp was phenomenal. Bursting with flavor.

Place is a definite must try!

The food was mediocre at best. The service was sleeping right next to our table or trying to relax and have conversation. This made it very uncomfortable. Not to mention, we asked for service on drinks and rolls she said she was going to wash your hands and came back within five seconds telling me she only put sanitizer in her hands which is not clean your and thoroughly. I ordered a chicken fried steak sandwich the food was hot but the vegetables were mushy inside the sandwich. Indicating that they put the vegetables on the sandwich as soon as it came out of the fryer. Serving open-faced would have prevented this from happening something they want may want to think about in the future. My wife had grilled flounder which was slightly undercooked and slimy. Dinner for two and tip came out almost $50 not worth the service and quality of food. I would have had a better experience at Whataburger for half that price.
