Big House Burgers — Restaurant in Kingsville

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Came from out of town, for a University event. My sister was trying to get the attention of the manager.. and he spent the whole time on his phone. My sister had told him that she had gotten a table. He just said “ooh okay” and brushed her off. Gabriella was our waitress... she forgot one drink. When i asked her about one of the items in the menu.. she said “pfttt i don’t know” 🤨 took almost 45 min to get our food. And when we got our food she forgot to put in my sisters food (shrimp tacos) She came back to check on us, and my sister asked her if she had put in her order. And she said “no” my sister asked her if she could put in the order and she said “oh I didn’t know you still want it”.. we asked for a refill on our drinks.. and my other sister said sprite by mistake and she said “i don’t know if you heard me in the beginning i said we only had Sierra Mist” my sister said I’m sorry i forgot the name of the drink but that’s fine. Then when she brought the bill, my sister saw she added the shrimp tacos and she said yeah.. my sister even after you messed up. She snatched the check from ours hands and said “fine I’ll go take it offf” SNATCHED! Who does that.. would never...

If you're going through Kingsville and plan to stop at Big House Burgers keep going. For those of you that can stomach it go to McDonald's just down the road. The McRib is a better shot at something edible. Before covid we had gone to Big House a couple of times traveling through, it was always ok. Since we were going through today we decided to stop at Big House again. What a huge mistake. Since the covid it's one of the lousiest meals we've had. The day old ribs they served us were burnt and rubbery. Since the plate was set down in front of me we could see something was wrong. The quality wasn't there. Along with watered down barbecue sauce and the sausage had no flavor and was overcooked. As far as the mashed potatoes I ate them because I was hungry. They were no prize either. As for the shrimp and fish, they were cold like straight out of a Gordon's box. Bottom line, we should have sent both meals back. Management should be terminated they are not checking the quality of the food going out. Although we did complain to the waitress, no one came out to check out the unsatisfied customers. My family and I have been here before and have had a good experience each time. However, on today’s visit, the service was atrocious. Keep in mind, it was not busy at all and at one point we were the only table in the restaurant. Even so, we had to wait so long to place our drink order, we ended up flagging down a completely different server to order drinks. Our server finally came back around once the other serve took our drink order. After placing our food order, our sever disappeared until she dropped our food off and never came to check on us once after that. Each time we needed a refill, our only option was to ask a different server after waiting forever in hopes of our server to reappear. Not once did our serve offer refills nor ask how the food was, she completely neglected us once we received our food. The only interaction we had with her was literally to place our food order, then to receive it, and finally to pay for it....
