We stop at this Whataburger quite often even though we live elsewhere. Today is Nov. 25th, the day after Thanksgiving. I went inside the very busy Whataburger to use the restroom and order food to go for myself and husband. My husband stayed in the car because he has cancer. The line was long, but moving pretty quickly as there was only one nice lady at the register and several employees making the food. I ordered 2 combos; mine was a cheeseburger. I got our drinks and waited. I got my food and said thank you and left. Our food was in 2 bags. I opened my burger and it had no cheese. I was a little bummed because it was raining and O had to go back inside and resolve the issue. I told the young lady that helped me that my burger was missing the cheese. At this point a very rude manager was helping on the other register. The girl helping me looked at the manager like what to do. The manager said in a very rude tone in front of everyone where my receipt was. I said I guess it was attached to my husband's bag out in the car. She insinuated I wasn't telling the truth and embarrassed me. I told her I wasn't lying and my husband, who has cancer, was waiting in the car. I did mention it was raining, right? I told her she was being very rude and I am not a liar. I told her to forget it and was going to leave. She proceeded to snap loudly at me in front of customers and said, well do you want it or not??!! I said yes and I don't appreciate the way you insinuated I was a liar. This is the ABSOLUTE worst experience I have ever had at a Whataburger. That manager either had a bad day, was hung over or hated life. I was going to go back in with my receipt to show her the order and throw a dollar at her, but my husband told me she wasn't worth it and we try and teach our daughter how to treat people. When you order it’s always a simple thing, however this kids are all confused and several came to help each other alter my order in their own system, surprisingly they screwed it up and my order came in short. I asked for my missing food and they said that’s all you paid for! Well I ordered more food if you screwed up that’s your problem. Well I paid mm for my order and returned a horrible iced coffee they started selling here. Came back later for a chocolate shake instead then the same big boy that screwed the order from the get go just walks past the register guy and does not loom at me or anything and just says remember we don’t have chocolate and continues to walk away. The managers casually sit on the side eating while they witness all this con fu kulation and well do nothing. This is still a good burger place, except this locations young employees need more training, and the managers just lounge around...
Read moreVERY POOR SERVICE. The cashier (and from his white shirt, a possible asst manager?) Daniel was VERY rude. The staff in the back also gave my table a rude look after my gf asked for an update on our order.. after we had already waited for 30 minutes! First impression was horrible and continued as the cashier Daniel told my group he didn't appreciate the influx of people coming from a concert we went to in Corpus. That's abysmal customer service! Like get a grip, act like you wanna be there and treat your customers with respect! They're the ones paying your paycheck with their business. Geez. I Like whataburger and its food but disappointed with this location. I would give ZERO STARS...
