Waffle House — Restaurant in Kinston

We come to this Waffle House often and we have learned not to have high expectations here!!The servers here are sooo racist including the black servers we came in this past weekend and nobody greeted us they kept laughing and talking amongst themselves the whole process of getting our food and drinks took so long I wanted to leave but was already committed a group of people who weren’t black walked in and they were promptly happily greeted and got there drinks and food put in immediately!! It’s a shame we come to eat and are treated so badly the waitress acted like she was so irritated with us before she even greeted us the manager came walking out of her office before we left but even she looked mad and unapproachable!! Waffle House was one of my first jobs so if they were wondering if we tip we do just not for terrible racist service do better Waffle House!!The cook that cooked our food that night was the only friendly face that night…server was busy enthusiastically serving her non black table to even care about our food… he had to cook and deliver the food and there was about 4 servers there that night who didn’t care!! All because the color of our skin!! The way the Caucasian server skipped to the back booth to happily greet the non black table that came in haunts me to this moment because we couldn’t get a greeting...

This was the most absolutely disgusting place I've ever set foot in. I was visiting my daughter and my other daughter and i were driving down from Pennsylvania. First of all when we walked in there was a guy sleeping at one of the tables. I'm ok with that. I don't know his story. Second everyone of the booths tables and counters had crumbs on them except for one. The place stunk so bad may daughter and i couldn't stop smelling whatever it was for hours after. The food was not so great the lady who took our orders served us chocolate milk, saying it was frozen so there may be some ice floating around in it. And to top it off we ordered two eggs, one with bacon one with sausage and 3 chocolate milks. Left there paying $25+ for two meals!!!!! I wouldn't eat there ever again if it were the last place on earth. Who ever owns this place should be shut down for good. Very, very...

Upon entering we were greeted by an older gentleman, who was obviously a host. I have been to many Waffle House restaurants all over the country and this was a first! He was pleasant and apologetic that there was not a table ready immediately, he got us drinks while waited, as soon as a table was open, he quickly cleared and whipped it down so we could be seated. Then he introduced our waitress. I thought he was done after that, no he was watching each table and making sure coffee and water was full and getting whatever anyone needed. He greeted every customer(group of customers) that entered the restaurant and he opened the door for everyone as they were leaving all this with a smile. I am definitely to be making this a restaurant that I visit frequently. Loved...
