I checked in very late it was after midnight. I notice the room had a odd odor to it but at least looked clean. like always, I turned on tv to get the days news well I'm getting settled in.||After several attempts on my own I soon realized tv was out of wacke so I picked up the phone to get the receptionist all I got was leave a message. so I went out in the cold the office window. (lobby closed due to covid). Rang the bell SEVERAL TIMES and no one came. Went back to the room and tried to call again. got no answer so left a second message. about ten minutes later I got a knock on the door. I t was the guy that checked me in. he took the remote fooled around for about ten seconds and had put the system in to a kind of restart mode told me it would all be fine in about ten minutes. Ok its only TV I GET THAT. But read on and hear the rest of the experience. I had to make a phone call to my wife when I get checked in. Its what I'm suppose to do no matter how late. She worries. I call we talk for about thirty minutes. I hang up just as the TV is finishing it restart process step 3 of 3||the tv kinks on but still no sound same problem i started with. again I call the desk.||The gentlemen ask if I would be willing to move to another room. I hade to pack up move all my stuff back to my car the go back up to the deck turn in my old room card get a new card and start all over getting settled in. Still I'm not upset or even complaining at this point I get it things happen it nobody's fault. Ok I'm settled in. Time to take a shower. All is good TV works shower works. And I am dog tired. Time for some sleep. However the room is cold the weather man on tv said it was 32 degrees outside. So I decide to turn on some heat. press a few buttons and the heater comes to life with normal heater sounds like a fan running. I jump into bed and quickly cover up to get warm. a few minutes pass then I hear this rattling sound||but it goes away after about ten seconds. Then the noise from hell hits an incredibly loud screech. I could not believe it. All I wanted was sleep. I got up and shut the heater down and then restarted it. It was if It never happened It was running smoothly again. I quickly got back into bed. for about ten minutes all was good and this was my night of hell. in the end I just shut it off and froze. until I could no longer stand it then I just had the get up and restart roughly every 10 to 15 minutes. suffice to say I was not a happy camper. In the morning when I checked out I shared my experience with the now lady at the window. she said she was sorry that it happened to me. I explained that I would of course pay the bill for the room but if the best she could do was to say sorry. that I would not be leaving a favorable review. she then told me that she could give me twenty dollars off my next visit. my advice is to run away...
Read moreOn 9/01/18-09/02/18 I checked into this what suppose to be a hotel on a overnight stay. Its was 3 adult females sharing a room. Room 120. First of all it has bed bugs. I was awaken at 230 am with a bite on my hand. I caught and killed it . I dosed off and was awaken again with a bite to my chin. I striped the bed threw the pillow on the floor and stayed awake. the room has not been vacuum, the bathroom was not clean and a big bug was running around on the floor. Our room was short of a towel so I went to housekeeping to get another towel because it was only 2 in the room. I was told that I had to give them the old towel before I can get another one. I informed her that it was only 2 in the room and it was 3 of us. Make a long story short she would not give me another towel. I went to the front office and was told that housekeeping basically was in charge and it wasn't anything she could do. (I have never heard of that before). After speaking my dismay the female went into the back office and gave me a towel. I was informed not to leave it in the room and to bring the dirty towel back to the front office when I checked out. Really? The fear of the housekeeping personnel was shown by the front office. I request a chair in my room and it was sitting outside for a while before it was put in the room. The front office employee put the chair in there . The housekeeping personnel seems to be feared by the other employees. This hotel appears to have a lot of activities going on and I don;t mean good ones. I was really applaud with my stay here. If you see good reviews for this hotel you better believe they were paid to make it good. All the other hotels were booked up, If I didn't have others with me I would had slept-ed in my car, If you are from out of town do not stay here.. Stay clear if the clientele don't scare you the...
Read moreRecently traveled to Kinston, NC a place I have never been before, so I was very excited about being there, until. As soon as we arrived at the property I already knew, parking lot and outside of hotel looked old and rundown but don't judge a book by its cover. We were with the church so the Pastor goes to check in ( we were told that the rooms would be ready at 3), it's about 3:30 we were told it would be an hour before they were ready but the handicap room for our party was ready and because the lobby restrooms were out of order we could congregate in that one room and use the bathroom there ( we reserved 14 rooms) use your imagination. After the hour the rooms were ready (appeared ) got in the rooms and got settled and so did the roaches, they said y'all in so we can come out and introduce ourselves and they did , called front desk and maintenance supposedly sprayed. Needless to say we will not be staying there again and I don't recommend...
