Scooter's Coffee — Restaurant in Kirksville

I read the reviews and there were a few not so good but gave it a try anyway. Well first day, ordered ice coffee it was ok. Not aweful just ok, second day wanted to try a frappe, it was ok taste wise but did not have my almond milk as requested. I know because I was sick due to my milk allergy all day. Also had a cinnamon roll, although it was a decent size roll, it was very doughy did not taste done. Third day was kinda icing on the cake. Asked about ordering a burrito without cheese.. can’t do that. Then when receiving my cold brew, wanted to confirm I had almond milk and explained that yesterday my frappe did not having almond but reg milk and I had stomach issues all day. I got a blank stare from the drive through worker. No apologies or anything just a blank stare and ok. Then I did ask for extra caramel in my coffee and if I got extra then the regular has none. I go to Scooter’s Coffee often and always order my go-to: an Oreo Blender with an extra shot of espresso. Not only is it sooo delicious, but it gives me the perfect boost to start my day! The drive-thru is a lifesaver—super convenient for busy mornings while I’m taking my son to school.

Honestly, my youngest might love Scooter’s even more than I do. He looks forward to chatting with the employees and getting his sucker like it’s the highlight of his day. He even has a pair of Scooter’s sunglasses, and every time he wears them, it sparks the sweetest conversations with the staff.

Service is great. My only issue is paying $7-$10 bucks for a coffee that tastes like all creamer. I'm a coffee connoisseur and I don't like paying almost ten bucks for a large mocha that only has one shot of coffee in it. People say, "well add a shot." My response is "why?" I've worked in the coffee business and a large mocha should come with two shots. If it doesn't then just call it chocolate milk please.
