If I could give Taco Buddha 10 stars, I would. The gourmet tacos are not your typical tacos. They are very unique. But even if they aren't your cup of tea, you should give them a try anyway because of their OUTSTANDING service. I'm certain that they will make you a taco that's exactly to your liking. I like the way that you can use your phone to order when you're ready at table with no pressure and then the tacos simply come right out not too long after. And their curbside service is very quick too. I've always been greeted with a smile.
However, where they REALLY shine is how they respond to you when you tell them they fell short. There was a Friday night where their tacos missed the mark. It was the only time that's every happened on ANY of our visits. I have worked in food service myself and things happen, so I always contact the restaurant first and give them a chance to make it right before leaving a bad review. In this case, I emailed management, and let them know, with compensation not being my motive. I just wanted to let them know what happened so they could coach whoever worked in the kitchen that evening. Without going into too much detail, the way they handled our complaint is hands-down the BEST customer service that I have ever experienced in my entire life, and I am over 40.
Taco Buddha, you have won my wife and I over completely. As long as your staff continue to operate at your level of excellence, we will continue to be regulars for as long as we live in St. Louis, and we will be spreading the word to our...
Read moreWe finally had a chance to eat here after waiting for months for it to open. Atmosphere- the place is well done and they have very nice patio seating that looks like it may be used year round. Despite being on Manchester, they did an awesome job with blocking out the noise and making the space feel high end. The vibe inside is very nice as well. Food-the food was phenomenal. From the chips and salsa to the tacos, everything was very flavorful. If you are looking for the right portion, usually 2 tacos will do it, 3 if you are extra hungry. Service-everything is ordered online and can be highly customized. You pay for your check on the app and leave. Your interaction with the wait staff is minimal. The jury was still out for me on this. Every time you wanted something else, you had to pull out your phone and order. Maybe I just need to get used to it. Quirks-there were a few quirks but definitely not deal breakers. We had three people at the table and all of us ordered two tacos. The tacos came out in groups of two, but no one’s came out together that went to the right person. There ended up being a lot of passing around so everyone had their correct food. In the future, they should bring these out individually or find a way to figure out how to group them appropriately. Also, the choices for the kid options were minimal. Unless I missed it, the only choice I saw was a kids cheese quesadilla. If they don’t like that, I hope your kids are adventurous eaters.
I will definitely be back. This place and the food are a nice, and welcome, addition...
Read moreStopped here on a whim while stuck in traffic on Manchester and I'm excited for this find! Easy in and out right off Manchester with ample parking. The environment is colorful and full of positive energy. I sat on the gorgeous outdoor deck. There was table side service for water, serving, and clearing. Orders are placed either through a QR code and delivered to your table or at the bar. I think the management style allows for a smoother dining experience with extremely attentive staff. I ordered the guacamole appetizer that is supposedly made fresh and served with fresh homemade chips. It was pretty basic but tasty. Tacos are served à la cart. They recommend two for a full meal. The menu is full of unique choices with vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten free options throughout. I got the Galveston with New Mexico spiced cauliflower. The Baja sauce was full of spice while remaining palatable. The corn salsa and social sauce perfectly complimented this unique taco. I also got a Jodhpur with tandoori style grilled chicken marinated in yogurt, lemon, and masala. I haven't eaten chicken in about a year but this menu choice called to me and it was worth the exception. Finally, it won't be Mexican without a margarita. They described the frozen Margarita as "famous" so I figured I have a duty to try. It is still frozen up until the moment it is served so it isn't your average watered down frozen Margarita. It was extremely flavorful. Not unique, but decidedly delicious. I'm excited to share this fantastic find and can't...
