Sophia's Jewelry in Kirkwood MO is a rare gem in the jewelry world. There are not enough positive things I can say about this treasure. From the owners, Sophia, & Tony, to the staff, Jessie, Kelsey and Cory, the engraver, they provide the shopper with a most enjoyable shopping experience. My first encounter was with Sophia herself. I was hoping to purchase a gift to be engraved with a signature. I was not spending thousands of dollars on this item and yet Sophia spent much time with me on the initial visit and those that followed to ensure that this gift was memorable. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, professional and their expertise was palpable. From the first encounter, to the wrapping of the gift, I could not have been more pleased. Wow. I’m a 63 year-old guy who doesn’t wear jewelry and who doesn’t buy much after 35 years of marriage. Why do I love this jewelry studio? We made it a family trip to take in a bunch of watches that needed repair and (1) the people were incredibly nice, (2) some watches were fixed on the spot, (3) other watches were fixed in a week or two even though extensive work was needed, and (4), the prices were great. These people are serious professionals who love their work and don’t have a hint of snobbishness. My husband was referred by his sister to Sophia's for watch repair. He has returned for service on other watches. Service was quickly and very well completed. On his last visit, he purchased an opal pendant necklace with a very charming chain for me. The style is simple, fluid and elegant enhanced with small diamonds. It is beautiful and opals are my favorite stone. Without knowing me, the gentleman was able to guide my husband to a perfect gift.
