Been a regular customer there for the last 6 years, spent a lot of money there. Been there alone, with my wife, with my kids. I've always been nothing but respectful but the last time I was there I had about $400 worth of stuff that I'd bought there but never used and they offered me less than a $100. I'll admit that I scoffed at the offer, but not in a loud or disrespectful way. So I went outside to tell my wife what I was offered and see what she said and she said to sell it because it wasn't being used. So I told if she was fine with go ahead because I wasn't going to do it. She went in and they told her they wouldn't buy it at all because I was rude, which I absolutely was not. They were very rude to my wife who did nothing to them regardless of how they felt about me, which is completely unfair. And told my wife that I am never allowed in the store again, and that's fine with me. I can buy online the exact same product but I prefer to spend my money locally. Since this has happened I've spoken to friends and other parents of kids my children play sports with and several have had similar experiences in this store with employees being short with customers. This is not good customer service.
After my wife returned to the car and told me what they said, I went back in and apologized to them for what they thought was rude or disrespectful and that whatever I'd said was never intended to come off that way. My wife didn't want me to make a big deal of it so I didn't but they absolutely owe my wife an apology.
On a side note, I sold the merchandise locally for almost triple what you guys offered. Had they offered me a reasonable price, your store would've...
Read moreI do not recommend buying golf clubs from this location or anything at that. I brought my father up here two weeks ago to get some clubs and he was hesitant because he wanted to go to an actual retailer. I convinced him to come here to save a few bucks. He ended up purchasing a callaway epic driver and it was brand new. A callaway big Bertha hybrid and a callaway 3 wood. Yesterday we went up to the driving range so he could finally use them he started off by using the hybrid so I decided to give his driver a try and on the 3rd ball the shaft snapped in half like a half inch above the club head at the end of the swing. Almost hitting two older gentlemen behind me sitting on a bench one of the gentleman approached me and told me he used to run a golf club repair shop and he urged us to return it from where we bought it instead of putting a new shaft in it because when the club head flew off the shaft it hit the ceiling and put a chip in it. He attempted to return it today and the guy working there pretty much told him to kick rocks and talk to callaway and not honor their return policy. In my opinion that is just bad business and isn’t very honorable. I have about 15 or so guys I disc golf with that will no longer be buying products from this location. It’s sad and ridiculous because me myself has spent hundreds of dollars on items at this location. Hopefully they can fix their staff and phones and actually start honoring their return policies...
Read moreI went to play it again sports this past Monday about 20 minutes before they closed to get some new wheels for my roller blades. I assumed I could easily pop the new wheels in and be on my way. I had trouble removing the bearings and switching them out as I have never done this before. I went back inside the store, this time 10 minutes before closing time. The guys, Sam M, Gabe, and Dillon G were phenomenal! They were so courteous even tho they had to close up shop. They patiently helped diagnose what was going on, and they each helped me to remove the old blades, take out the bearings, and switch in the new blades. There was a surprising amount of people in the store and all of them were helped and checked out right away, but one of the guys was always still able to help me also. They were knocking out customers with questions, doing their closing work, and helping me change the blades at the same time, and was very friendly while helping. I can’t express how thankful I am for their help! They even helped after it was time to go! I sometimes go to other sporting goods stores, but I have seen the error of my ways! I have never received such courteous and professional help. I will return to this store as long as it’s here just because I know I’ll get the help I need, and won’t have to worry about being judged, even if it’s time to close up shop. Thanks again Sam M.
