Quite honestly horrible. First off, it really wasn’t really crowded. There were probably 50 trucks in the lot. The majority had the same types of food.
There were 3 of us and we tried 3 different things. The first one we ordered from handed us samples of the beef. It was really tasty. So I went for it. Beef plate with 2 sides. Went with fried pickles and Mac n cheese…and a coke. 33 bucks. Wait what? This is a food truck. But the beef tasted really good. So ok went shed and did it.
Second went with 4 Birria tacos. No drink. 19 bucks.
Third was loaded fries. The description was fries with ground beef, cheese, sour cream, and bbq sauce. Told him no sour cream. There was a language barrier and he didn’t seem to understand. I told him no sour cream again. I showed him on menu and he understood.
OK got the beef plate. It was a half full container. The beef now seemed to be really fatty. The Mac n cheese was average. The pickles were greasy and soaked in every other juice in the container, so the breading just fell off. Not worth 15 dollars let alone 33. The tacos were the best of the bunch however the tortilla were so saturated they just fell apart. They didn’t give a fork so had to go back and get one. The fries…well they took 20 minutes to make and they didn’t have sour cream. They also didn’t have cheese and very little bbq sauce.
As I was looking around I’m guessing it’s mostly us non locals eating here and getting ripped off....
Read moreWas in the Kissimmee area for the long weekend and decided to check out Salvadoran places. Tried Laruta pupuseria on my first night there and it was a disappointment! That was terrible. The pupusas were not cooked, the curtido was in water and the salsa was water with red color. Look at that uncooked pupusa on picture one. Will never return here to eat that food. May check out other food trucks but that Laruta isn’t it!! I did check Mi Tierra pupuseria while here and that’s an amazing restaurant full of flavor and culture; try authentic Salvadoran bakery and pupuseria. I then didn’t want to go back to Mi Tierra on my last day and so I checked out Los Cipotes in the other food truck park and MAN that was 10/10! What I found odd while there is how much Laruta pupuseria plates and menu are exactly Los Cipotes. What’s odd is that Los Cipotes doesn’t say it’s authentic but Laruta says they are salvordan! That’s odd to me. They even had a pupusa burger that thankfully I ordered at Los Cipotes and not here because the pupusas alone was enough for me to never return to this food truck park. After looking closer it seems Los Cipotes has been in business a lot longer seems your pupuseria is copying a well established business. If you are going to allow that try having them cook the pupusas completely and maybe take a lap around again on flavor. The pictures between Los Cipotes and Laruta is pretty much telling that no one should...
Read moreThis place is fairly new. They have a much larger variety than the food truck place up the road.
Not that the one up the road isn't bad. This one just has more choices and is not as crowded yet. I'm sure it will be soon.
Lots of great trucks with a lot of creative people there things you don't see all the time.
It's also located next to a nice little flea market with a variety of things in there as well. Not as crowded as being as right across the street from Old Town. I highly recommend.
Those drinks in the picture one is salted caramel cheesecake that's on the left the one on the right was just a regular cheesecake.
I'm not exactly sure what the drinks are it's like a milkshake, but as you can see it comes with a bunch delightful stuff on top as well.
Those were the small and it was about $25 for just two of them. I still would highly recommend it they were awesome ‼️
This truck is located right towards the beginning on the left hand side in the front. They also sell food as well I didn't get the chance to try the food because I already ate...
