The museum itself is great. Small but it does have enough to see and learn about. Now the staff on the other hand is something else. I've gone several times over the years and never had a negative experience except for today! The woman at the front desk is very condescending. I take my 8yr old there because she wanted to look around and see everything there. I'm all for it ... I've never been charged more than $5 to go in. Today I'm told $9 for me (Army Veteran) and $9 for my little girl. Mind you nothing has been updated really. Basically the same stuff but as a vet it never bothered me. But $18 to spend maybe a total of 20 minutes is absurd. When I have the woman why the price change is when she became condescending. I found it extremely rude. When the manager strolled up he asked who she was talking to, I was pointed out and stared at by the manager. Nothing was said as in if there was anything he could help with or whatever. Dirty looks from the woman when I my daughter and myself were I eye shot. I was just extremely disappointed with how it all played out. It's going to he a long time before this Veteran goes back there to be treated like...
Read moreLove this place. My dad's an ARMY vet and he loves to come here. (Just to remember). I was looking for a rank/ symbol for my dad for Father's day about 2 years ago and even thought the friendly staff tried to help me- they couldn't find my dad rank/symbol patch or frame or a t-shirt or anything. I just visited the store to buy my dad an Xmas gift and one of the staff members remembered me from last time and had told me they had actually found the logo /rank/symbols I had been looking for my dad's. They had tried to contact me but couldn't find me anywhere. He made me very happy just knowing he remembered after so many time had passed and that I could finally tell my dad "look we found it". Thank you MR. Matteus (I hope that's how you spell your name), you just made my Xmas...
Read moreA gem of a find, popped in here for an hour while on the way to the airport going home. The guy on the desk was very friendly and we had a nice brief chat about his family's and my military experience. I wish I had more time in the museum itself to read all the descriptions on the exhibits too but I ran out of time. The admission price was very reasonable and got a discount too for being a veteran. This is something the USA does very well, they treat all service people and veterans pretty nice even if not a USA vet such as myself. If I'm ever back in Orlando I will put aside more time to visit this museum to fully enjoy all the exhibits on display. Thank you again to the...
