The vibe there is fantastic, its like nothing you'd expect in midwestern America Knoxville Iowa and more like somewhere you'd drink in Manhattan NY. The bar keeps are fun, outgoing, friendly, gorgeous and attentive. You can't not have a good time. It can be the place for a quiet sip by yourself or with a loved one or it can spill out into a raucous time with a bunch of new friends. There is a huge variety of cocktails available, themed nights like Taco Tuesdays and live music with some fantastic local talent. It's a supercool place with supercool down to earth, fun-loving people. Owned by two tremendous people who are Knoxville proud and located perfectly right next to Candi's Flowers so you can buy the little lady something special when you're on the way home late "The A&P" is my favourite bar on earth. I just wish I didn't have to travel 15,000kms...

I am brand new to Knoxville. A&P was a refreshing and pleasant experience. In my opinion this is the classiest business in this town thus far. The bartender Nikki is friendly, inviting, and professional. She made sure we had a great time with awesome cocktail mixtures. Not a ton for the beer drinker but if you like cocktails, they do have a great selection of liquor. The entire place is very clean and well decorated. It's a fun atmosphere with friendly patrons. We will definitely be coming back for more. Only room for improvement would be they have no food menu... however they do allow you to bring in food which is nice. I...

The building is gorgeous, and the Bloody Marys were good (although updated photos could be helpful), the staffing couldn’t have been worse. What is historically known as the busiest 10 days of the year for the town of Knoxville, seemed to be missed by A&P pub. There were 3 people working, and 40+(?) people in the building. It was chaotic as you were never checked on, never got drinks you ordered, and felt like they actually didn’t want to help you.

Would love to go back during not this time as the drinks were yummy and I’m sure the service could...
