Okay. This is it. This is the best. This is the absolute BEST Mexican food in the city. Probably in the state. This is not a drill. I haven't had food like this since i lived right near the Mexico border. My second fave is La Esperanza and my third fav is Soccer Taco (Bearden location), but Las Fuentes is the best, hands down.
FRESH white corn tortillas, amazing, juicy meats. These tacos will make you cry. It's art.
I'm trying to think of something to complain about... Ohh, the jukebox. Music machine thingy. That thing was WAYYY too loud. People put money in and the sudden music scares the living hell out of you, but like... Your mouth is full of delicious and you don't care really??
When we finished eating, they were closing soon. So the restaurant's floor was filthy from babies and families dropping food for the last three hours, but I'm not counting that against them because it's impossible to keep the floor clean when there are like 60 people packed in the room at all times enjoying the best Mexican food in Knoxville. None of those things were an issue for us because of how happy and energizing everyone was. My son and I were basically the only non Spanish speaking people in the establishment. However like I said we had zero issues ordering our meals. I am pretty sure this was the most authentic Mexican meal I have ever eaten. If I wasn't just passing through I would probably eat here several...
