I went to the location at Merchants drive and entered the drive through line at 10:30 pm during this time the store was decently busy. I waited in the line until arriving at the speaker around 10:45 as the car infront of me decided to leave. I then waited an additional 3 minutes with 0 response at the speaker letting me know what was happening. I also asked if anyone was there multiple times. I understand they were busy but simply wanted acknowledgement that I was waiting as other business will let you sit there without warning. I then mentioned another 5 minutes later that if I didn’t get a reply I would be pulling up to the next window to try and order. After waiting for a bit I pulled up to find employees walking around without any other cars to take care of infront of me. I stopped at the second window and waited for several minutes before the employee finally opened the window around 11:00. I told her the situation saying I waited and tried to get someone’s attention but did not get a reply and would like to order at the window. She let me know I could do that but I would have to wait. My was that this was fine, but I would be waiting at the window. She then took my order and I paid as normal. Once finished paying I was asked to pull forward; I told her that I wasn’t going to do that because I had already waited over 30 minutes and that I’m not being pushed to the back because they couldn’t acknowledge I was at the speaker. She then proceeded to argue with me continually telling me she had other customers behind her. I total her I understand but they were customers that were after me in line and this wouldn’t been an issue if I could have been told someone would be with me as soon as they could. To put it frankly her continued arguing with me wasn’t going to get me to move and I did tell her that it wasn’t happening. She proceeded to raise her voice and tell me fine but your still going to have to wait while slamming the window. I was fully prepared to wait but any rational person would understand why I was not moving due to not providing minimal customer service skills. I did not see the woman again until she returned with my food only telling me here you go and immediately slamming the window again. I understand she is frustrated but this behavior is completely unacceptable. If any of my employees did this to a guest and I found out about it serious repercussions would happen. This is absolutely no way that an employee should be trained to deal with customer situations acting out of emotions and completely disregarding why I made my decisions as well as arguing with me when I was rationally telling her why I wasn’t moving. I would seriously consider retraining the night shift staff due to issues like this. I will not be returning to this location due to the lack of respect a single employee shows to...
Read moreYesterday, while in line i decided to remove my nose from the device i carry an take notice of my surroundings. Of course the first thing i saw was everyone else with their noses burried in a mobile device as well. Except The McD's workers! The next thing i saw was a clean store, and from what little i could see outside car park. I noticed a few other things that are praiseworthy. This particilar franchise on Merchants Dr has impressed me. Most things noteworthy are what bothered or upset us. We all seem to remember the stores that p us off! This time, rather, not only was the food not overcooked or still frozen, it was actually quite good! Also, despite the line of people with but a single checkout, McDonalds on Merchants Dr delivered like Mr Rogers postman, "Speedy Delivery! Speedy Delivery!" THAT'S why I go to McDonalds when i do! What is the acronym? SOS. Speed of service! In the past, I have paid for something that i didnt get to eat for another 25 min. Otherwise I can cook my own sausage buiscuits, including the biscuit from scratch in 25 minutes and have some to snack on later. Considering, the homeless may be regularly found either warming up, eating, using the wi-fi, or up to doing nothing good one could surmise; bringing with themselves, their untidy habits, antisocial demeanor, or boldly asking McD's patrons for something or other; the management has done a supurb job of both appearing to welcome the homeless to use whatever services are available and at their disposal as well as managing the homeless' demmeanor and unsavory habits, while still giving them the same respect every human being is due. Applause!! Good job! Actually Great! With all that goes on with restaurant management, (ALOT!) (And with chinese overtime!) Managing the guests as well as the restaurant, food, menu, Health Dept Standards and food temps, inventory, ordering, receeivables, Employees and all of their bagage (we all have some), schedules, interviews, and whatever pleases the District or Regional manager or store owner; with all thay is going on to still manage to provide a hot meal cooked and prepped well and maintain Speed of Dervice? Two thumbs up for simply doing your job. The Right Way!👍👍
Only one complaint, drink cup sizes. I used to look forward to the summertime when i could get a large chocolate shake. Every summer since 1974 when my sister and i poked two huge barberpole straws into opposite sides of the same lid and shared a large shake and still prob threw the rest away. I 👀what you hve quitely done there Corporate. Made a medium the new large, and eliminated the small. In name only. Nice trick. What you have really done is eliminated the large cup from the store altogether and played musucal nomenclature. You sure had us all...
Read moreI agree with the last post.. worst experience. We ordered a meal. Once we tasted the drink out of the fountain we noticed it was nothing but carbonation. I informed them of this and they told us they've been having problems and kept complaining about it to corporate. Said they've been on the phone with them on and off all day and corporate doesn't care. All the lines were down, even the drive through. So they told us we could have tea. I then informed them that I can't have caffine, or anything with dye in it because I have bad kidneys. I was planning on the sprite. The manager was trying to leave for the night and kept informing me that she was trying to leave. Finally she told me "well, it's not my problem, I'm going home. I'm off the clock now. Let them deal with it, it's not my problem anymore" The one guy offered me a watter. I said I didn't want a watter. I paid for a drink, I at least want my money back for the drink. After arguing with everyone there for about 15 minutes. The one girl asked me, "well, what do you want me to about it? Do you want your money back for the drink or what? " I said yes, finally, yes!! If that's the least you can do, then I at least want my money back for the drink I paid for. " she then shook her head, rolled her eyes, and told me to wait and she would ask if she could give me my money back for the drink. She then gave me my money for the drink while the rest of my food got cold while arguing with them.
