Peyton's Place — Restaurant in Knoxville

I am extremely angry. I have went here once before and had no issues and my friends had been there three or four times before with no issues. We come in last night 5/5/23 And there are two guys sitting at the bar with a dog. The dog had no service vest of any kind and did not act trained as one either since it would not listen to his owner and kept going up my dress. The two with the dog obviously knew the bartenders I at the time assumed just regulars. They obviously had a tab open and we're drinking beside us at the bar then played pool beside us at the tables. THEY DID NOT CASH OUT. My group was a party of 4. We split the bill my husband and I on one them on the other however they told me my total was 92.00 then proceeded to tell me my card ran for 2.00 of it. They told me I did not have enough to cover my bill. I felt this was wrong because when I walked into the bar I had 95.00. so I pulled up my phone transactions and show the bar tender no it ran for 91.58 they REFUSED to give me my card or ID back without payment of ANOTHER 93.07. which is weird considering I thought my tab was 92.00 BEFORE it ran 2.00. my friends graciously paid so I could have my ID and card back. They were EXTREMELY rude durring the whole interaction and literally FORCED us to let them literally steal from us. I will be calling corporate Monday. I called my card company and I cannot dispute the transaction until after it's posted and out of the pending phase. Seems it is possible they may have cancelled the fraudulent transaction since we noticed and insisted on calling corporate Monday due to the issue we had. We'll see how they handle it Monday and if the funds RETURN to my card. If not they are looking at a messy lawsuit and all it takes is bank statements...

I been coming to Peyton’s place for a year I never had any issues at all. The old bartenders were AMAZING!! Sadly they quit and I see why. Please don’t make a mistake in this place nor talk to a guy that the bartenders like because you will become a target and get cut off. I took a break from Peyton’s after that and went back in on Thursday with a friend and immediately the bartender said she was not serving me because I was rude to the bartender I don’t recall that but if I did I can be the bigger person and apologize. She wouldn’t even serve my friend because he was with me but would take our money to play pool. We immediately left and he said that was very rude and unprofessional. The bartender could have pulled me to the side instead of yelling at me in front of people. I have never been treated like that and I will not be back. Please hire new bartenders. I absolutely love the atmosphere of this bar, the first time I came I was alone (I know silly, I am a 24 year old woman), I sat at the bar because I was hoping to run into someone I knew( I ended up seeing multiple people I knew playing pool). The bartender immediately started talking to me and was very friendly and quick to getting my drink. Then I had a man approach me, and try flirting with me, moments later a bouncer came up to me and asked if I was okay, and that he was watching to make sure I stayed safe.

I immediately felt at ease, usually even going to the grocery store alone can feel stressful and unsafe, I however felt very safe in this environment.
