Good doughnuts, bad customer service.
I decided to pick up some doughnuts after a 10 hour shift to surprise my wife and kids. When I arrived I was greeted by a young girl behind the counter who was quiet but nice and an older lady with her arms crossed and a face that reminded you of Jeff Dunhams dummy Walter. She was not thrilled to see me at all. It seemed as if I just ruined her day by giving them business. I politely asked for a dozen doughnuts and Walter immediately snapped back with " And?" I again politely asked for some blueberry cake doughnuts and Walter shot back with " thats only weekends!" In a very rude tone. As I continued ordering my doughnuts with the quieter younger girl, Walter answered the phone to take an order for delivery. After she got off the phone she grumbled and complained the rest of the time about the order that was just placed on the phone in front of customers. I almost felt bad for showing up and giving them business. A customer shouldn't feel that way. I know no one can compare to Chick-fil-A's customer service but you could at least be nicer to those who are paying you for a service. If the doughnuts were not good, this review would...
Read moreWe've always loved Dan's , but like so many others say, they're not organized at all. If you have a business that does so much business every day, you would think they wouldn't have a long line of people and their main selling item's are gone by the time you get inside. It's called supply and demand, it's so easy, you just make sure you have enough to last until I can get in to the counter! I've went there with my adult daughter to get doughnuts and we arrived about 1:30 AM, and they were practically out of anything good. Someone should really take a business economics class. I'm not saying they're bad, I'm just saying that they REALLY need to up their supply to meet customer demands. Is it really that hard? I know you make enough money already, why not double or triple it by making more, especially of the ones they know sell really fast. I'd love to be able to get up at a normal morning hour, not set my clock for the middle of the night just to be disappointed when I finally make it to the counter. If you made more to last longer, you'd definitely get the 5 star rating you deserve! Please...
Read moreThis is a 11 hour customer service operation. Within less than 90 minutes, more than 80% of the variety was sold out. The staff, which seemed short tempered, aggravated, and unorganized, had absolutely no intentions of providing any additional product for the customers. I honestly felt bad for what I had requested because I felt that the customers behind me would have even less options than I did. This is merely a business that built it's reputation, but over time has risen to popularity just to completely abandone what ever they did to out themselves there. Great product by all means. However, quantity was completely absent and sense of urgency didn't exist. This place has reduced itself to a weekend high school hangout and unfortunately they seem to pride themselves on there waits, long lines, and lack of overall product variety and customer service. "Better get here early or we will be out". That's the Creed they operate under. In less than 90 minutes???????? Pathetic and clueless to the customer would be a compliment...
