Pho Nguyen – Fantastic Pho & Outstanding Service in Kokomo, Indiana )Moved to the former Choo-Choo Mcgoo's)
If you’re craving authentic, flavorful Vietnamese cuisine, look no further than Pho Nguyen in Kokomo, Indiana. This hidden gem offers some of the best pho I’ve ever had, paired with warm, welcoming service that makes every visit a pleasure.
The star of the menu is, without a doubt, their traditional beef pho. The broth is rich, deeply seasoned, and clearly made with care—perfectly balanced with aromatic herbs and spices. The noodles are always fresh and cooked just right, and the generous portions of tender meat make each bowl a hearty, satisfying meal. Whether you go with rare steak, brisket, or a combination bowl, the flavors are always spot on.
Beyond the pho, the egg rolls, spring rolls, and Vietnam specialties are equally delicious. Every dish is prepared fresh and served with beautiful presentation. You can taste the authenticity and quality in every bite.
What truly sets Pho Nguyen apart, though, is the exceptional service. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely appreciative of their customers. Whether it's your first time or you’re a regular, they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome.
The restaurant is clean, cozy, and has a calm, relaxed vibe—great for solo dining or a family meal.
If you’re in the Kokomo area, Pho Nguyen is an absolute must-try. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next...
Read moreupdating the review as it's our first time at the new location in the old choo choo Magoo's. we went vegetarian this time. they have a fresh spring roll with tofu that's not on the menu. bit bland and soft. but the v2 mi xao chay More than made up for it; five star all the way. fresh veg and a light but rich flavor. also tried V5 lemon grass tofu. that was good but nowhere near the other dish. The raw onions were a bit strong for us. probably not very Vita means but we think it would have been better if they had breaded and/or fried the tofu. old review from 2024 very good all around. top quality beef in the rare beef pho. the broth was mild and i prefer a bit more aromatics. but it was good and didn't need hoison sauce.. the grilled chicken in the S2 mi xia gion added a depth of flavor you don't get at other vietnamese restaurants. the mi xia needed more sauce to soften all the noodles. the chicken in the chicken pho was dry but the broth was good. looking forward to...
Read moreI'm so glad my son directed me to this hidden little gem! I'd never tried Vietnamese, but my son had some take out he let me taste....I was instantly hooked! I went the same night, it was that good! The atmosphere is clean, inviting and nicer than I expected being in the old Choo Choo McGoos building. The people at the counter were friendly, inviting, and knowledgeable of all the different menu choices. The portions are generous and made with fresh vegetables, very nice meat portion and home made vermicelli noodles or rice. Adding the hoisen sauce to my bbq chicken bowl blew my mind! THE FLAVORS ARE OFF THE CHAIN!!! For one generous bowl, I paid about $11. I was full, but still had enough for another meal to take home. I NEVER leave reviews, but honestly, I was so impressed with Pho Nguyen I had to! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED- NO...
