The Kokomo Country Palace — Restaurant in Kokomo

My wife and I looked forward to visiting this establishment. We like line dancing and are looking for a place to frequent. Finally got the chance to visit. Arrived on a Saturday around 7 p.m. At the entrance we were told only the front bar was open by the young lady at the door. We went to the bar and waited 15 minutes. Not a single person approached us. We headed back to the door to see if we went to the wrong bar. Waited till the two ladies at the door took a break from their conversations. I was told that we went to the correct bar, but the only bartender was next to her. No apology from the bartender because instead of being behind the bar and waiting on customers she was at the door chatting away. We left without spending a dime. What a waste of time. Wish we would have had a better experience. Seems like this is the only place around that has country line dancing.

10/10/2025. Update. My wife and I tried this bar for the second time. What a difference, we arrived early again and sat at the bar again. This time we were greeted and served in a few minutes. Had a very nice conversation with the bartender, Misty. Misty was very nice and attentive. We talked about why we drove back to try it again. We are looking for a line dancing location that is good for the older crowd. She suggested Tuesday evenings. 6 to 8. We will be back. ...

Line dancing classes on Mon&Thurs are super fun. Karaoke on Wed is the BEST! Occasionally they have line dancing DJ on Friday nights and it's like Coyote Ugly on steroids. Be prepared to SWEAT! Super fun to watch and pretty hilarious to join in if you don't know the dances. Most of the people that do know them are happy to help show you the footwork so you can fake it till you make it. The bands are mostly hit with a few miss. They have darts and pool tables. The bartenders are always quick and friendly. My sister and i are from Louisiana andI was taking here by my cousins. We had a blast. When we return we will add this place to our plans. It has a spot for all. Jukebox, pool drinks.
