I visited this establishment soon after it opened and it went well. Forgot about it until this past Friday and decided to take my grandfather here for lunch. We will never make that mistake again.
We were one of two tables in the establishment when we arrived yet we were being rushed to choose a drink then choose a meal. Waitress was cold, no smile and not helpful. Not the only place in town with that problem so we figured we would let the food speak for itself then. Speak for itself it did.
The food came out way to quick to be fresh. My grandfather ordered the burrito bandio lunch. The beans on the side were rock solid and cold still. Even the ground beef in the burrito was cold. I ordered the Bandido dinner combo. The beans were the same rock hard and cold. I didnt believe my grandfather at first until I tasted the enchilada and the meat in it was cold. Decided to try a bite of my relleno next and it oozes out what I thought was cheese. I realized after the bite that was raw batter. I poked it in another spot and saw the batter was goo still. Normally I have a rock solid stomach but ten minutes later even my stomach was hurting.
We waited and waited for the Waitress. Finally the host walked by seating someone else and I asked him to get our waitress. She was just sitting at the bar area chatting away. She came up, we explained everything. She offered to have it all remade but I lost all faith in their staff at this point. She went and talked to someone else then once again pushed to remake it all. After a firm no and saying we are leaving she then drops off a bill for our two soft drinks.
The last thing you do in a situation such as that is bring a customer a bill. I work right down the road from here but I can promise I will drive the extra distance than ever come back to this place. If that is the laziness of the wait staff and cooks then I can only imagine what the actual...
Read moreOrdered a jumbo frozen mango margarita and the bandido dip. The jumbo margarita was the equivalent of a small at any other Mexican restaurant I've frequented. 9.99 for what looked like 12oz? The server brought me out a bean dip which I questioned and he said it was an appetizer and that they were preparing the bandido dip. Never brought it back out. Manager made his rounds and I asked him about it and they did finally bring me the bandido dip. I could see the misunderstanding except that I held up the menu and pointed to it when I ordered.. That "dip" is just a bunch of chicken, steak, and a few shrimp with a couple scoops of cheese in it. Nothing like the photo in menu. The amount of juice from the meat waters it down and it's just silly to call it a dip. It was uncomfortably warm in there. The ceiling fans appeared on low and the blinds were pulled up on the windows. It's over 90 degrees outside felt like 80 in there. When we went to cash out, the cashier was standing 15 feet away on his phone for a few minutes before he acknowledged us and cashed us out. Will say that everyone was nice and friendly. The restaurant salsa was heavy on garlic if you like that. Idk, new place wanted to try it but there's too many better restaurants in town to go...
Read moreMy boyfriend picks up DoorDash orders from here all the time, so I decided to give it a try. I got a pickup order of arroz con pollo with a side of beans. The chicken was okay, the rice and queso were delicious! However, the beans were spoiled. I don’t know if maybe they were from the day before and had been sitting out or something, but the texture was way off and they smelled and tasted just awful. I had added them in with the rest of my food and had to throw everything away, it was a major bummer! I really hope this was just a one-off thing, because it seems like a really nice...
