Common Ground Coffee Shop — Restaurant in La Follette

In short, I am a coffee fanatic. That being said, this place has probably the best lattes I’ve had in years. It topped Starbucks and Dunkin in both quality and friendly service.

I asked if, with the variety of syrups they had, if she (Liv) could mix them up and make a raspberry while chocolate latte for me; and she said it wouldn’t be a problem at all. I then received a latte that topped every Starbucks latte I’ve ever had. Absolute 10/10 and one of the sweetest ladies I’ve had the pleasure to meet!

Additionally, I met one of the owners (Joey) and be treated me like I was family or had been coming there for years. We talked, laughed, discussed our past, and in short, left feeling as if I truly made some friends today.

I came back a few hours later to bring my brother, who gave his critical analysis / review of the coffee (ordered the same thing I did earlier), and he told me it was a solid 4.8, and the establishment got the same - with the “only thing that would make it better is more couch/soft chair seating”.

If you’re looking for a good coffee place to go to in this little town, I don’t think you can get any better than Common Ground. My only advice is: if you like sweeter coffees, ask for an extra pump of the drink’s flavor syrup, as some of the lattes (ie caramel) can be rather strong. You won’t be...

We swung in because my wife had an urgent need to use the restroom and this was the closest location available, upon entering, she was told she couldn't use the restroom unless she bought something. No problem, she agreed, but they refused to let her use the restroom till she went back out to the car to get her wallet and buy something FIRST. What kind of service is that when a woman just needs to use a restroom? And who orders prior going to the restroom? I hope they don't treat all their customers this way. Very rude and uncaring in an emergency situation. I hope the management addresses this and changes this unthoughtful policy. Stopped in for the first time today- oh wow! So cute and chil! You order at the walk up coffee bar where there is merch to the right, menu up above and to the right, and ample seating throughout. The sweet young lady behind the bar was friendly and helpful and offered suggestions on the baked goods and coffee drinks. The Almond Joy latte was just perfect with just the right amount of sweet and chocolate flavors as well as the right amount of ice- didn’t water it down but chilled well.
