Visiting from out of state. From the outside the bar is adorable. You walk in and very clearly can tell someone knows what they are doing in visually alluring guests in. To celebrate my sister birthday we gave it a try, we were hardly greeted when walking in, as it was very empty at the moment. After sitting down it Took about 5 minutes before we were even given a menu or check in on, and another 20 minutes to have our order take as the server was taking his own drinks at the bar. With the slow service we did get plenty of talking time as we didn’t have a single check up on for another 40 minutes to order more.
Before leaving Took a few selfies at the adorable set up camera holder, well lit and well done back wall painting.
Upon attempting to close out we just opted to take our self up to the bar, as the server was occupied with taste testing.
The gal at the register was VERY welcoming and talkative. She was engaging and embodied the Texas hospitality. Invited us back and made small talk. As we exited the bar, both my sister and I could hear our server yell accross the bar, accusing us of ditching and not paying our bill. Very disappointed in the service.. but LOVE the concept and...
Read moreWe always absolutely love mac’s daq’s. We first came across them in their event truck at antique show one year and were quick to try out the main location when it opened last year. They are so welcoming and accommodating and the bar is super cute. It’s always a fun vibe with music from all genres but it’s never so loud you can’t talk with your companions. They taste good and, if you’re anything like us, you’ll end up never making it to a restaurant because you never want to leave. They work lots of local (and some private) events and always have a cool activity like tie dying shirts to make it an all around experience....
Read moreYes the drinks are good, but everything I tried asking bartender a question (it was our first time there) she acted like we were bothering her and then as we were trying to look at the menu of drinks she went and turned all the lights out, not sure if that's the normal but if you know you just handed someone a menu then don't turn lights out to where it can not be read. Or maybe they only want young college age kids in there, not us 50 something year Olds who are looking for some where new...
