Bachi Yaki SGV — Restaurant in La Puente

I ordered online as the get really busy. My order time pick up was 9:10 I arrive give him my name and he said give it 5 minutes it's coming up. I wait and he said almost. I see there is an order on the counter but must not be mine. So 29 min later he says just waiting on the chicken. He Said what's the name and I tell him and he gets the food that was sitting there for the last 20 plus minutes. I let him know that the food has been there ready for over 20 minutes He than gets upset with me and says you think I have your order on my mind I have to many things on my mind to think about just your order. I said your the one who said give you 5 min almost done and said your getting your food get over it and continued to be condescending and kept what I feel was attacking me. I am a loyal customer spending $50 plus at least 4 to 6 times a month because the food is amazing. The food was cold but the worst part was the way he treated a customer and handed me the bag very hostile...

I ordered 3 bowls: 1 chicken, 2 chicken/shrimp add noodles, 1 shrimp plate, and 1 chicken and steak combo (I was given all the sauces to try). I was less than impressed, the chicken was dry but the shrimp/steak were cooked well and the rice was weirdly kind of uncooked in some bowls (kind of crunchy), but the most important part is that NONE of it had flavor. I see the West covina page on IG post about this food truck all the time which made me want to try it but I will not be returning. FYI this was for the SGV...

This was definitely my go to spot in recent months but unfortunately I had to stop coming here.

As far as pricing it can definitely be really expensive for any additional toppings you want.

Filet and chicken with fried rice and veggie is $30+. I always ask for medium rare on my steak is always cooked more medium well and or well done. The portions can be small.

I think if you are craving hibachi with quick services this place will suit you. It’s just a hit or miss most...
