Went to Trivia Night last night, and the service was terrible. I had waited outside 45 minutes after speaking with a hostess up front about where I could sit for trivia. I waited and waited for someone to bring us a menu, so we could order. There were about eight employees walking around, some standing around and paid no attention to my table. I finally flagged down an employee and asked them If they could take my order for my family and I, and they told me that they would get someone to assist me. I waited, and waited.. then I asked another employee to assist us with getting our food order and drinks started, we played more than half of the game of Trivia before someone even took our order. After we got everything situated we were told that food orders needed to be taken inside, which didn't really make a lot of sense to me since I had seen people taking orders outside (writing things down on a pad), but the issue here was with the customer service. Things seemed very disorganized, being busy is one thing however after I was told again and again that someone would be there to help us we didn't feel the need to go inside to get food, needless to say the service was not great customer service in any shape, way, or fashion. It just doesn't work, not to mention that we were unaware that we also needed to go get our own food, since we were not told to order inside in the first place. I was even told I couldn't even bring my trash back inside, that someone was supposed to pick it up for me, my plate wasn't picked up until I almost left, nobody even walked by to try to pickup my plate. Unfortunately I will not be coming back until they can get a handle on the new way of running things...or revert back to...
Read moreFirst time visiting at the Den. I went with a small group of people. Had a burger and mashed potatoes. Burger was hot, mashed potatoes were kind of warm, but not worth complaining. I still enjoyed them. Waitress was very pleasant. They offer 15% discount for military members. That's more than other places. The discount is for the service member only, not off the entire ticket if it's with non military people. I agree with that. Small business and they are not required to discount. It's a way to say thanks to the military person. I would return and recommend to others. It's a nice place. Prices are fair. I will add: we had people in our group that were new to us and unfortunately made a scene about the military discount. The woman in our group used some foul language while talking to the manager and there were other people and a child present. Since she is active duty air force, she represents all females in the military. Her behavior was embarrassing and unexpected. On behalf of that female, I'd like to apologize to the manager, the Waitress and anyone who overhead the conversation and bad language. It is not how military people should behave, ever.
