Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in La Vernia

An honest review about Sonic: This location is the absolute best sonic I have ever eaten at. First things first: the service. I can't tell you how many times my forgetful self has forgotten to request a drink holder in the app only to realize that my two measly cup holders cannot hold all of the drinks for the family. In these momentary lapses in cognitive function I always have to ask for a holder and the poor carhop that is tasked to deal with the man-child named Kenneth gladly grabs me one and does so with a smile. The employees at this location give Chick-fil-A a run for their money and they just might win the race if they keep bringing those delicious chili cheese tots which brings me to the next segment of this evaluation: the food. Unfortunately I have never liked sonic burgers from any locations and that's probably due to me being picky about burgers in general and maybe childhood trauma that I haven't dealt with but I'll save that for my shrink. Sonic burgers are just not for me but the chili cheese coney and tots with a route 44 ocean water is a different story entirely. At its worst, that combo is pretty darn good but here's the kicker, everything is always as fresh as it can be in the world of fast food and on top of it being fresh, its delicious. The second the coney touches my tongue is as if a thousand stars each a thousand times the mass of the sun all collide in an cosmic sacrifice that must be had to produce a hot dog so well balanced and delicious. From the pillow-like bun and juicy, hot like a heating pad on a cold winters night hot dog to the salty yet balanced chili and creamy, stretchy cheese it is pure perfection. Throw the chili and cheese onto your tots and thank me later. The last member of this godly combo is my personal favorite item to order from any fast food restaurant: the mighty ocean water. The crisp, sweet and coconutty drink should be enjoyed by everybody from toddlers and seniors and everybody in between, this is the most drink in God's great earth. By the way if you'd like to spice up the ocean water you can add cherries for a unique and delicious combination or if you as a parent are able to escape from the wild children that you love dearly but probably need a night away from, take a few drinks of this glorious manna from heaven and when you arrive home, fill the empty space in the cup with Malibu coconut rum for a fun night alone or with your spouse. Just make sure you don't let the rum talk you into creating another tiny human you'll want to escape from one day in the future. Hope this review is enjoyable to somebody and make sure to support your local small businesses because while there might be another sonic on the way to where you're going, supporting your local franchisee is the only way that great places like this keep...

Went in just to try the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Let me tell you that it is not worth it, taste or price. It is thin, skimpy and thrown together. Went through the drive thru and im not sure exactly what was going on inside but I could hear laughing so I had to repeat every single item more than 3 times because the order taker could not hear me. As we pulled up to wait, another customer pulled in to order from a kiosk and the microphone was so messed up that it not only hurt our ears but the lady in the car as well. I was also not given my credit card receipt. Customer service and attention is very lacking as this location. This location is supposed to be independently owned and operated, I think some training needs to be conducted. I will not be returning and ill be watching my credit...

The manager David is a complete joke. We ordered for our 8 kids and spent $50 for dinner. Food came out and was missing a chili cheese tator from my sons combo and they messed up my Mayo and cheese only burger by putting pickles, ketchup and mustard on it. So we push the button and the young man comes out and we tell him the problem. Then out comes the order and they ask us to pay again. Huh? What? We aren’t paying again for food we didn’t receive and that was wrong. This dork David came out and explained that the chili cheese tot was skipped over even though we were charged for a combo. He did give me the burger after 10 mins but refused to give my son the $2 tator tots he ordered. His customer service sucks. We will never be back to this...
