As a rule, I no longer frequent Casey's on the regular since every aspect of their business has declined so much since the buyout of Bucky's. In a pinch, I figured I could get a couple slices of pizza and a drink without some sort of glitch. I couldn't have been more mistaken.
Since I don't have tap-to-pay or Apple Pay, to use my card, I had to enter and withdraw it from the chip reader, then slide through the magnet reader. Card rejected. This process was attempted twice unsuccessfully.
Employee was very rude and put out I couldn't use tap or Apple to pay.
I was throughly annoyed, so left the pizza and drink on the counter and began walking towards the door. First she asked if I wanted her to hold it and I replied, "no," and continued towards the door. To my back, she said something about, "ma'am you need to......" I'm extremely hard of hearing, so I didn't hear the rest of it, but she's in no position to tell me what I need to be doing. I left the merchandise on the counter.
I'm sure it had to be thrown away; maybe that's what she was hollering about. Not my problem a chip card payment couldn't be processed.
Within about 15 minutes, another Casey's location a couple miles away had no restriction on payment method and my card was processed successfully.
Ultimately, I was rewarded nicely for the horrific inconvenience and rudeness in La Vista with fresh out of the oven slices and friendly staff further north down the road.
And this experience is the nail in the coffin. There will be no further patronage of any...
Read moreOrdered delivery through the Casey's app, and received cheese sticks that aren't fully cooked, a pizza that's somehow burnt on one half and raw on the other, with the cheese in a puddle, and three bottles of regular mountain dew when I ordered diet mountain dew.
Called the store and was told they couldn't refund it because it was through door dash (I ordered it through the Casey's app), but they could remake it and see if they could find a driver, but couldn't say how long it would take. Seriously?
Called back again because $35 for the wrong order and inedible food isn't ok. Person who answered the phone was rude and finally said she'd have it remade and delivered. Gave me a "promise time" of 7:57, and it is now 9:05 with no sign of the driver. I'm not sticking around and ending up late to our movie, and I'm definitely not calling a third time to talk to someone who clearly doesn't care. This location is...
Read moreOrdered a pizza on line most the topping were missing called store on it , first they state they were out of that topping ,later in conversation the guy stated he put 2 can of pineapple on it. The guy consistently lied about the pizza and return policy. We returned it the following day with in corporate 24 hour return policy, the store stated they already replaced the pizza my was holding in her hands. Very unprofessional employees they all stuck together over poorly made pizza. I understand now how this store has low rating and poor reviews. The owner or area representative needs to step up and return our $18 for this product. Corporate office will be notified tomorrow and shown photos and be informed of the lies that followed the sale by every employee working 2/25-2/26 evening shift. Casey's my have lost my business due one store and its employees that lie to your...
