It's not until you encounter something for the first time that you realize what you've been missing all along. That was my initial impression of the enchanting and picturesque coffee haven, The Coffee Alley. To say I was impressed with this place is an understatement. Gone are the worn-out menus of lackluster drinks and stale pastries, a sad ubiquity in every coffee shop in the city. This place exudes personality and identity that sets it apart from the others.
The Coffee Alley joyfully celebrates the essence of a Hispanic breakfast. From the spiced-infused CafƩ de Olla to the delightfully sweet Dulce de Leche Latte, the menu embodies what one would seek in a coffee shop with such unique character. Couple this with their tasty selection of pan dulce and you are guaranteed to feel enlightened. Further enhancing the ambiance are the colorful and beloved songs my mother used to wake us up to every Saturday morning. All these elements flow together wonderfully to evoke nostalgic memories of family and unity. It is a genuine and special experience, especially for those who grew up in a culturally rich environment.
Fear not, your chai tea lattes and espressos are still available and served here. Even though specialĀ menu items are offered, you can still order your typical and boring (yeah I said it) drink that gets you going in the A.M. Seriously though, why settle for the mundane morning brew when they're offering something truly exceptional?
If you're hesitant due to the unfamiliarity of it all, cast your worries aside. Trying out this place will be an absolute delight. Kudos to the owner(s) for impeccably realizing this vision. The atmosphere, food, drinks, and service here are nothing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm from out of town and happened to be in Omaha over the weekend. I was wondering what this town had to offer for coffee, not really expecting much other than the typical Starbucks. To my surprise, I saw this place pop up! It was bit further than I'd like from my stay, but after reading many great reviews I decided I had to check it out. Gotta say, it was so worth the drive.
The staff are all very kind and quick, despite being pretty busy the Saturday morning I was there. I loved the vibe this place had! Good mix of music, from modern day to the songs my mom would clean the house to. I also really enjoyed seeing a mix of all kinds of people enjoying our culture, it wasn't exclusively Latino clients when I was there at least.
Of course the most important part was, the coffee! El cafe de olla really hit the spot. Everyone makes it differently, but I really liked their version. I took a horchata latte to go, I definitely recommend! Wish I had more time here to try all their drinks :(
If I ever happen to be in Omaha again, definitely making this...

Coffee Alley-Callejon is your spot to go! This is my new to go spot to hang out with my 7 year old daughter! Great kid friendly atmosphere but nothing to crazy!
I mentioned to the owner I'm not a coffee drinker, she did not hesitate and introduced me to a whole new world of delicious refreshing drinks from cold energetic to hot drinks!
I love that they included a kids little section where kids can express themselves and most of all a kids menu too! Let's not talk about the board games at the tables. Is that to much, no worries bring a book and enjoy some quite time with your little one!
Oh did I mention they have a variety of delicious pastries!
Oh yea, they also have a private room for about 15 available! Small meeting, gatherings...
