I have lived in the area since 2008 and when Curry Corner first opened. Back then they were the best Indian restaurant around—flavorful, colorful dishes and great prices. And they won Best of the Northwest Awards! But now after over a decade they’ve definitely fallen off the mark quality and price. First of all, VERY expensive. Nearly doubled in last few years. I know this is the overall restaurant trend but they’re higher than most. As for our order we phoned it in like most do in area. Their dining area is like a cafeteria so no ambiance or desire to eat in. We got a samosa appetizer and the combo 2-meat curry plate. Since we don’t like raita (veggie yogurt) and rice pudding, we convinced them to give us extra naan and mango-pistachio ice cream as substitutions. For the two curries we got the chicken curry and butter chicken (see pics). Samosa was two huge pieces, almost two big to really enjoy but the crispiness and flavor profile were there particularly when you dip in their two sauces that come with it. Chicken curry was ok on spice-wise and flavor. The butter chicken was, however, greasy and lacking in spices. Not sure what spices but definitely not how I remember. Tandoori chicken was delicious and cooked perfectly. Jasmine rice and naan were just like they were from before, nice job! And finally the mango-pistachio ice cream was definitely worth the swap and highly recommend if you like those flavors. Very fresh, creamy and homemade. All in all, a decent Indian restaurant and I’d recommend it still but it’s a shadow of its past and I won’t likely go back for a while. I wonder if it switched hands. I know it’s a family run business and they have a relationship with the Curry house just down the street and been some strive. Whatever the case the quality is not what they once were. Hopefully they can work to bring it back to it’s former glory.

Curry Corner is a small, family-owned Indian restaurant that has been serving the Olympia community for over 10 years. The food is produced, sold, and consumed by the local Indian population, so you can be sure that it is authentic cuisine. The menu features a wide variety of dishes, from classic curries to more unique specialties. I started with the vegetable samosas, which were crispy and flavorful. For my main course, I had the chicken tikka masala, which was cooked perfectly and served with a generous portion of basmati rice. I also tried the naan, which was perfectly cooked and had a nice chewiness to it. The service at Curry Corner was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu. The prices are also very reasonable, making Curry Corner a great option for a delicious and affordable meal. Overall, I had a great experience at Curry Corner. The food was authentic and delicious, the service was excellent, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Indian meal in Olympia. Here are some specific things that I liked about Curry Corner: The food was authentic and delicious. The flavors were complex and well-balanced, and the dishes were cooked to perfection. The service was excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, and they were happy to answer any questions I had about the menu. The prices were reasonable. I got a lot of food for a very reasonable price. If you're looking for a great Indian meal in Olympia, I highly recommend Curry Corner. You won't be disappointed.

Very busy during lunch time. But granted all the reviews on the wall, I understand why it was busy and I thought I would be in for a good meal. However, the food was subpar and granted the makeup of the crowd; there was no need for the food to excel. Most of these people probably have never been to an Indian neighborhood or any place where the population was actually brown so showing up seemed to be their extent of adventure. I digress. I had the chicken tikka masala which oddly tasted like butter chicken when I inquired about it the waitress said the sauces were similar so I presume they just give people either or and say its what you ordered 🙄. So I ordered a vindaloo which wasn't much better. The samosas were quite bland (something I notice a lot when ethnic people try to cater their food to underdeveloped palates) and the best thing I had was garlic naan and mango juice. The aloo tikka wasn't too bad either though. Just was not fond of the cream they put on top. The service was quite lacking. Even as the restaurant cleared out I had to flag down the waiter for refills and requests over the vacuum. Needless to say I was quite disappointed yet they do sell some Indian products in a lil store area. Unfortunately they didn't have the products I normally use.

The food was subpar with tons of sauce and scant amounts of meat, bland, lacked in flavor and character, but I have to say, I couldn’t have felt more unwelcome. Sat down with my family and ordered...halfway through the meal, while we are actively eating, staff is trying to bring us containers to pack up and trying to take plates right out from in front of us WHILE WE ARE EATING. After the 3rd attempt, I finally had to say to them that we were still trying to eat our dinner! Staff watched us and constantly circled, making us feel very uncomfortable. I understand it’s a small place and you want to free up tables for upcoming guests, but there’s got to be a line you draw somewhere! No need to make people feel super rushed and awkward. Ordered an additional dish and it was brought to me in a takeout container in a bag—we got the hint and left. We drove for over an hour to come here. Not returning. Also, it should be added that my children have stomach aches after their meals here. Not sure if ingredients are added to help preserve the freshness of food, such as MSG, but this adds to the blatant disappointment of our visit here. Never have I had Indian food this mediocre and never have I had major indigestion after eating at an Indian restaurant. Huge letdown. I relied on the great reviews, but alas, this establishment is...
