Lakeport Opera House — Restaurant in Laconia

The Lakeport Opera House is a New Music Venue in Laconia, NH!!! Great for the Economy.

My Mom and I hadn't been there yet and decided to go to see the Eric Grant Band the night before Thanksgiving.

The Eric Grant Band was really Good and Played Some Really Good Country Songs as well as Rock Songs, that ranged from Older Songs to more Popular ones and it was a really enjoyable night out listening to music with my Mom!!!

They have 2 Floors

The 1st Floor which has some Seats and some Tables but is mainly for Dancing, and they have a Bar Area.

The Bar Area on the 1st Floor has a Really Nice Painting and Served Drinks and also they had a Snack Option as Well.

I got a Drink and the snack option of Pretzels which were really good and a little spicy!!!

The Bathroom on the 1st Floor past the Bar is also really nice. The Bathroom has Heated Toilets which is very cool and a nice touch!!!!

And the 2nd Floor Has Some Comftorable Chairs with a Good View of the Stage and has some Tables set back for Seating as well. People can also dance on the 2nd Floor as well. It does look like there is a Bar Area on the 2nd Floor as well, but that wasn't open. Good and bad! Attempting to get a drink at the bar was horrendous. I dont think it would have been possible for Paula the bartender, to move any slower. She definatley didnt appear happy to be there. She would migrate to people she knows rather than customers waiting in front of the line. It was apparent many others inline were frustrated with the poor service. If the goal is to povide an elegant, modern, high scale customer experience, I'd start with training the bar staff. The prices certainly are representative of high end service. The positive: the comedy show and the venue itself was outstanding. The greeters were delightful (maybe transfer them to the bar). The Lakeport Opera House is top of the list of the venues we enjoy. It has a very classy but relaxed atmosphere and there is not a bad seat in the house. The venue is beautifully done and the staff are wonderful. It’s so nice to have somewhere to sit, relax, have a drink and listen to wonderful music. The ticket prices are very reasonable. We’ve seen several shows and will definitely being seeing more.
