SUMMARY: Modern Mountain Style Coffee Shop with great coffee and flavorful/healthy food, conveniently located near Lake Opechee Inn and Spa. My wife and I stopped in here on Saturday (10/01) morning. The food and coffee speak for themselves but we were truly taken back by how beautiful the interior was.
ATMOSPHERE: The exterior is blended into the opera house next door and is suitably located on the corner of the street with 2 entrances (side and front). Inside was gorgeous! Round of applause for the decorator. It was spacious, well laid out and clean! The color scheme was neutral and welcoming while the furniture and wall art gave the space a rustic, true New Hampshire mountain vibe.
COFFEE/FOOD: I got an Iced Americano with the Classic Breakfast Sandwich and my wife got a hot Lemon Tea with Avocado toast. I am no coffee connoisseur so I cannot say much more than it was good (same goes for the tea). The food however was absolutely delicious. It's presentation, portion size and cook time were all spot on. The jalapenos on the sandwich were a bit too hot for me but it did not take away from the overall deliciousness of the meal. The toast was perfectly crisp and the bacon was just the right thickness. The avocado toast was spread evenly atop 3 pieces of toast and topped with some nutritious micro greens. A+ on the food.
STAFF: The staff was kind and timely with our order. They did their jobs well but I do not have anything to add that was out of...
Read moreReally good coffee and good place. Especially for Laconia. Wayfarer is the only actual place that can call itself a coffee shop in many square miles. That being said, please fix your front door step. I tripped into the store this morning, and I tripped out the door, and remembered that happened last time I was there too, and I’m a young athletic man. I can’t imagine my parents walking through there. People must trip there all the time. I kinda wanna sit across the street in my car and watch people walking in and out while I drink my coffee to see what percentage of people trip on the awkward door step. If I was the owner, I’d fix it yesterday. But besides that enormous inconvenience, this place is the best...
Read moreMy daughter and I were visiting from Florida and looking for a hip, healthy coffee shop. We were elated to find Wayfarer Lakeport. The food was fresh and our drinks were delicious. My daughter raved about the maple matcha and Emily was kind enough to share their recipe. We went to the other store in Laconia and were disappointed they didn't carry the veg sandwich BUT they had a variety of items for sale, most from local artists. We especially loved all of the gorgeous pottery from Miranda Bassett of nightshiftstoneware. We stopped here every morning we were in NH - I highly recommend this...
