We went and had my sons 13th Birthday party here in their splatter room. The party was great. The attitude out of the woman owner was not. She was nice when we first got there, and then suddenly her mood and attitude shifted, it was like all of a sudden our party was an inconvenience for her. Then she said the bathrooms were off limits for clean up and directed us to a ā€œpaint sinkā€ in the ceramics painting room. Even after being cleaned up we had over an hour ride home and we asked to use the bathroom, to actually pee before we left. It was like that was also a hassle for her. Then, that night, my husband developed a reaction to what I believe is the paint, so I emailed her and she called me the next day, but she argued otherwise saying he must of used one of the ā€œragsā€ in the paint sink that they clean tables with, and that it was absolutely NOT their paint. She was also reading me things off of what she called an MDS sheet, which was most likely a MSDS sheet. I asked her the brand of paint so I could look it up, because he’s never been allergic to anything before, we wanted to know the ingredients to try to figure it out what he was allergic to. She was extremely rude and refused to give me the name of the brand of paint claiming she didn’t know it, but would ask her husband and call me back. It’s been 2 days and still no phone call back. The idea of the splatter was great, the service and attitudes were not. We will not be returning due to the rudeness, and the inability for them to do...

My group came to the Art Escape for our Bachelorette weekend and Jim and Justin were super accommodating!!!! The Art Escape is a beautiful family run business with the owners and their kids making our experience personalized! They had a paint night going on which we would love to come back for, a large selection of pottery to paint, and (our favorite) the splatter room! The bride was able to make her own art piece on a canvas by throwing paint. What really made this place special was how the family engaged with our group! Since we aren't from the area, Jim made some great recommendations on local restaurants and coffee shops. When the bride's mom lost her phone they helped to look everywhere for us! (Jim and Justin, we found it! It was in the car šŸ˜…) This was the perfect way to kick off our weekend. And oh did I mention BYOB šŸ¾ For your next night out plan on...

We went for our first time today and had an amazing experience. There was a large selection of ceramics, which we came in to do, but we also discovered several other art forms that will have us coming back. We spent a bit over 3 hours doing our pieces and had a lovely time. We were the only ones there for several hours. Staff member Savannah was excellent. She was not only personable, knowledgeable, and supportive of our projects, but she also kept working the entire time on making the studio clean and organized. She would seamlessly move from one task to the next while also attending to customers who came to pick up their pieces and ensuring our needs were met. To top it off, she also provided a dinner recommendation for us as we worked through dinner. We would highly recommend Art Escape and want to pass on to management that Savannah...

Not for little kids. Place is cool with lots of options, but I took a 4 and 7 year old here to paint ceramics and it was a nightmare. No instructions given, no palettes, just little index cards that resulted in paint everywhere and they only gave out one at a time. Owner came over and chastised the kids for using too much paint (I understand that it can crack the pottery, but she scraped it out of the mug, messing up their artwork, then took their paints away saying they're expensive.) Like what?? I had to go get them back and let them finish. Definitely left a bad taste when we were here to make xmas gifts.

Art escape is one of the best art shops I’ve ever visited! It’s so much more than a ceramics shop. I have taken stoneware painting classes, fused glass classes, glaze and etching classes, and more! Studio staff, Sheila, has been extremely helpful during my visits and easily juggles her art prep (for classes), with her cleaning and packaging workload. She accomplishes these things, plus assists customers. The shop owner, Jean, and her husband, Jim, are both very helpful as well (with Jean teaching all the classes). One is always treated well at Art Escape.
