I came with a party of 6 at 1800 on a Friday. No reservation wait was 20 minutes, but the patio outdoor seating was wide open so we got in with no issues right away! The server was very friendly, but a little on the slower side, most likely not her fault since the drinks came from the bar. The white peach margaritas were phenomenal, will definitely order those again! Complementary chips and salsa are always a bonus, they loaded us up with those here.

To start we got the Mexican street corn and queso. The queso was as expected, warm and delicious. The corn is an acquired taste I think, but something I do thoroughly enjoy. It's more on the sweet side, so keep that in mind.

For the entree I got the Molcajete, which is definitely meant for at least 2 people but probably could have fed the entire table. The meat was all very flavorful, but everything outside of the delicious sauce was a little dry, with the exception of the shrimp. It wasn't a big deal, just dump it in the sauce and it's good as new! Flavor wise, definitely in the top 5% of any Molcajete I've had, I absolutely recommend! We will certainly be back next time we're...

I LOVE good Mexican food and Fresh Jalapeño IS GREAT! I also enjoy a good margarita and the house margaritas frozen or on the rocks are lovely. If they keep having 2 for 1 Happy Hour margaritas here I am never going anywhere else. Because of my love for Puerto Vallarta, I am a devotee of “Street Tacos” and they are wonderful here. Their street taco selections are a choice of carne asada, grilled chicken, carnitas, and Puerto Vallarta’s specialty Al Pastor (with pineapple) are especially good. Tuesday is Taco Tuesdays for those watching their budget. The salsa and corn tortillas are excellent because they are made in house. I decided to try their Hawaiian Burger & fries with grilled pineapple, grilled jalapeño, grilled onions, bacon, American cheese, lettuce & tomatoes. Savory & sweet. Divine! Their burger meat is hand made, NOT a pre-formed frozen pattie. Their plantains are yummy for dessert or as a side. The service is good and the owners/manager are usually on site. You can tell they really care about their customers and the quality of their food and service. I bet you will love Fresh Jalapeño as...

I walked in and was immediately acknowledged. (A huge pet-peeve if I'm not!). I ordered two entrees to go. The young man at the host stand was fast and extremely efficient in answering my questions and taking my order. He told me that my order would be out in about 15 minutes. I didn't time it, but I felt it was considerably less than that. All the staff that walked past me made a point to acknowledge me. (!!!) While I didn't go into the dining room, the waiting, bar, and dining areas that I could see appeared extremely clean.

The friend that I ordered the second entree for and I enjoyed the REALLY GOOD!!! meals.

Two lunch dishes and a 20% tip was less than $30! (Yes, 20% for a to go order! I TIP according to the service I received!).

My first time ordering at Fresh Jalapeno. Definitely not my last!

My thanks to the host, other staff passing by me, and kitchen team for such a...

We ate here 3 times now. The first time was great food. The last two times, not so much. Feb 2, 2025, was our last visit. The el pastor (pork) was very dry. The shredded beef was stringy and without flavor. Of the 5 that had dinner there last night, we all left disappointed with the food. The restaurant is very clean and the service was good. We will continue our search for a good mexican restaurant. I had the Chilie Relleno the first 2 times there. Once with the ground beef, which I found to be very good. The other time, I had the shredded beef, which I would not recommend.

Update: June 18. We went for 2.99 birria tacos and they were fabulous. They also had lime sherbet margaritas, bogo and those were great too. There are complementary chips and salsa. Fun atmosphere, although a little too bright. The bar area is the best place to be. Going back next week. Hopefully it stays this good. New visit July 23: We had a small Taco Salad ( which was very big), Street Tacos (3) with rice & beans, and I had to get a Birria Taco ala carte. The Chicken Street Taco was the best. Marinated, seasoned and tender. I could go every day if we lived nearby. 🌮🌮 🌮
