Lady lake pizza & pasta — Restaurant in Lady Lake

Me and my mom came to try it for the first time today, Wendy was our server and only server there , she only had 2 tables and made us stand at the door for 10minutes waiting for a table with my 3 year old and 8 year old, she finally sat us and took about 8 minutes to come over and ask what we wanted to drink so at that point we just gave her our whole order, calamari for app, a cup of pasta fagioli soup and put in my 3 year olds chicken tenders and fries, and a large pizza for the main course , I timed our apps and it took 23 minutes for those to come out , the pasta fagioli tasted old and horrible I asked for Parmesan I never got it and the calamari was overcooked and such a small portion the rings were so small and no lemon I asked for lemon she never brought it , our pizza finally came out and it was not New York style the sauce was horrible , cheese was poor quality and actually dominos taste better and this is coming from an Italian who grew up with real Italian food, we were so hungry for waiting so long so we just ate it and didn't complain to server as we just wanted to eat and get out of there and asked for some cannolis for dessert hoping they would be able to redeem it lol , they were served 3 mini cannolis per order and the filling u can tell wasn't homemade with ricotta cheese and confectionary sugar like they're suppose to make it , it was just like sweet cream custard in soggy shells. When I was talking to my mom mentioning how the calamari at my job took about 6-7minutes and how she only had 2 tables and still didn't bring me my pasta fagioli soup she overheard me and asked with an attitude if I wanted to cancel my order , as a server of 20 years I would never say that to a guest. This server lacked basic serving skills and customer service skills didnt smile and was over near the register mad and talking smack under her breath not quietly as I can hear from at least 6 feet away. Food was horrible we will be sticking to our go to spot Little Joey's and not returning there, need to get better quality product , sauce for pizza and better servers and that place could actually do good I think! My family and I were really excited to try this place, as we have heard great things. I was kind of disappointed there wasn’t a kids menu, they gave us a coloring sheet and crayons saying happy Halloween…. In the end of January. But that was fine, whatever the kids can color in is great. But, there was no kids menu. So we ordered my 4 year old the chicken tenders and fries from the appetizer menu, and we ordered the rice balls of the app menu for ourselves. I ordered the chicken panzanella with a Caesar salad, my husband ordered the pesto angel hair and added chicken with extra garlic knots instead of the salad. The Caesar salad isn’t tossed, and comes with the dressing in the side and it doesn’t have any shaved parm it’s just grated parm. I was kinda disappointed since i like shaved cheese and a tossed salad. The chicken panzanella was delicious, but I’m glad the chicken came on a seperate place from the pasta. I requested angel hair and it was so mushy I just couldn’t eat it. My husbands angel hair pesto was also so mushy he sent it back. They took his meal off the bill, as they should since he didn’t eat it. The garlic knots were so dry and flavorless it was very disappointing. The chicken tenders my son had were great and my chicken panzanella was DELICIOUS!!! (Minus the angel hair) The rice balls were also pretty good.

I called and ordered a small cheese pizza and a Large double pepperoni and double sausage stromboli for pick up. Paid with debit card. The food came out and the Stromboli was made wrong, they offered to make another one, and then my pizza would've been cold by the time I got home, so I just wanted a refund of the Stromboli, the waitress told me they could give me a credit after she called the owner, because they wouldn't be able to refund my card, or I would have to come by tomorrow, that wasn't gonna happen! After being there 20 min trying to get a refund, my pizza ended up being cold anyway! Why the incompetence I have no clue! They don't know how to use their POS system or do credit card refunds, can't make orders right. I got a cash refund finally, but cold pizza! Thanks for ruining a dinner!
