After being a regular customer of many other Schlotzsky's locations, I stopped at this location on a whim, much to my eventual disappointment. I asked the woman behind the counter at 5:15pm on 8/20/19 if I may buy 2 slices of gluten free bread on my way to a friend's home, where they cooked for me. She declined, saying they could not sell it to me. I explained my situation, and mentioned I would even buy a whole meal or two, just to have the ingredients packaged separately so I could bring the bread individually. Instead, she rudely suggested I go buy a loaf at Walmart down the road. I explained I already buy my gluten free necessities in bulk, yet I only needed this to meet my friend this evening who prepared a meal surprise for me. This woman does not realize she just lost business, and continual business, because my friend lives right down the road from this location. That employee, her rude attitude, and the random person hidden behind the counter in plain clothes texting/playing on their cell phone just made the worst first impression. Not returning. I won't be surprised when this location closes down due to lack of business. Good day to...
Read moreMan have I missed having a Schlotzsky's! I just moved back to the Lafayette area. I made a point to hit the closest Schlotzsky's that I could get to, and I couldn't have been more pleased. It was for lunch on Wednesday. They were fairly busy, but got everyone's food out to their table very quickly (including mine). They we filling online App orders, food delivery services orders, as well as walk-in orders. Dining room was clean. Atmosphere was nice. The manager straightened chairs or wiped off tables every time he came out to bring food to a customer. I will be back as often as my schedule allows! Prices for sandwich joints have gone up over the years. But Schlotzsky's is right in line with all the rest - for a far greatly...
Read moreI’m not sure what is going on here, but this location is awful compared to the previously closed location. We have been here 3 times, only one of those times did everything go as planned. This past visit was over $40 for 2 people to eat. We showed up to pick up our food, there is no AC in the building and the drink machine has no ice. Get home to eat, they left the chips out of our order. My wife worked at Schlotzskys years ago and Ted was overly strict on the majority of workers (a few of them got very special treatment) and would have never let this type of nonsense go down. Maybe Ted needs to pass ownership along because Schlotzskys corporate would not enjoy seeing how this location...
