This time I had the cheeseburger potato. I have been eating at the Potato Place for over 12 years. I used to work at the iPhone shop a few doors down and it was a great spot to get a good lunch. The potatoes are always enormous, and the toppings are always More than enough. So the cheeseburger potato I get it with extra liquid cheese, extra tomatoes, and an extra side of jalapeños.
They also give you packets of Tony’s if you want to spice it up a little bit. I ate 3/4 of it which is quite a lot and it was just as delicious as it was 10 years ago. I’m so thankful for the consistency that they have carried over these years. Some people are not happy but most people are and I’ll be wanting to tell you my 12 years of experience here I have only had one potato out of possibly 100 or more I wasn’t 100% satisfied with.
They always show you your potato before you leave to make sure it’s exactly what you order and they do their best to customize it just the way you want. Thank you Eric for keeping it simple and delicious and I pray that your business continues to thrive. I knew all the owners before you hopefully I’ll get to come in and meet you one day. Also, they have some new things on the menu.
I look forward to trying, but for me, the cheeseburger potato, the steak fajita potato, Barbecue potato with that delicious sweet barbecue sauce, and of course, broccoli and cheese potato. These were my favorites and like I said, you can salt it you can it you can jalapeño it, and I even sometimes like to throw Sriracha on it.
P.S.even though prices are going up everywhere these potatoes are well worth it. I’m just a regular customer and also I’m a paraplegic so the accessibility in the parking lot and how friendly the staff is and helping assist always makes the visit pleasant and worthwhile. Thank y’all again and keep up the good work.
Oh, and they sell gift cards too lol I’ll...
Read moreI was visiting for work in Lafayette a week or 2 ago and forgot to make this review, but this was by far my FAVORITE place I ate while visiting. I'm from Houston, we have very diverse food options, but let me tell you I was in Cajun food heaven in Louisiana! My nickname has been Ash Potatoes since hs, so you can imagine my excitement stumbling upon this place. Not only was the staff super friendly, but the food was absolutely amazing! We had the crawfish ètouffèe and the boudin baked potatoes and they were just as mouth wateringly delicious as they sound. This is definitely going to be a staple every time I visit. Highly recommend checking it out! Only thing I'd say is I wish they had some merch available to take home! I feel like they'd benefit greatly from having some potato themed merch! Need a spud pal to take home and remember them by! Overall, It was a 1000000/10 Spudtastic...
Read moreHorrible!!!!! Me and my boyfriend ordered 2 plates of shrimp Alfredo. Let’s start off with the price, 37.00 for the most bland pasta ever! Went back to get a full refund and the guy told me they don’t do refunds. No where in the building does it say that!! Also he told me that it’s a popular food item so no one ever complains… it had no taste what so ever. The guy didn’t care about that, he told me that’s like going to different restaurants and trying out the whole menu because what I ordered wasn’t good. He refused to exchange my food out for something worth the amount I paid. He tried giving us a chicken wrap and a plain potato…. Smh I wouldn’t recommend not even a homeless person to eat at this carless food establishment. They have no courtesy for their customers especially with inflation. People do not have money to be throwing down the drain. Now that’s 37.00 out of my pocket...
