Wife and I went to Crying Eagle Brewing Friday night around 6:30 for dinner and the comedy show after at 8. We haven't had a chance to go here in a while. The last time we did was for lunch and they served you. Now, or maybe in Friday night's case, you order from the window and you get a number. No problem, we just didn't realize and sat down for about 15-30 seconds before realizing lol. Ordered the fried jalepeno cheese curds, Crying Eagle burger, and What Tha Fig pizza. All of it was pretty good and came out in a timely fashion. After ordering our food, we walked over to the bar to order drinks. Asked the bartender for a flight. Told him a couple things I/we liked and didn't and he got us a good variety of 4 really good ones. I know some bartenders don't like that, but I was curious to see how he did and I was very happy with it. Tipped him separate from our tab and told him he did a good job. Wife also wanted a bloody Mary. He did a really good job with that as well. Even asked if she wanted it spicy to suit her wants, which was a plus. After we finished, we cleaned up and went and picked up an Irish Red beer for the comedy show outside. Bill with 20% tip ended up just under $100 I think. We never knew they had those comedy shows, but the MC said they do it about once a month I think. 5 comedians (mostly from Houston area) came out and entertained us for a couple hours for $10 a person (ordered tickets online....I think they're typically $15 at the door). Good time for a little night out without the kiddos and we're hoping to go out and do it again with some...
Read more2/10/2021 4pm. We really like this place, and I have been dying to go.. but the prices do not match the service. For food items being THAT expensive we expected so much better service. My dinner guest actually complained about the poor service most of the time spent there. Our server (never caught a name, but black hair) was very bland with no personality, no enthusiasm whatsoever.. And our large outdoor table was taken over by dishes really quickly. Ordered many appetizers to share and actually had to ask for side plates for sharing. Our drink glasses were piling up. And when our waitress got off of work at like 5 or 6, she didn't bother to tell anyone else that we were there and still ordering. I waited 5 minutes at the EMPTY bar to get us more drinks and was told I couldn't get them there, being we were sitting outside? (lol OK so what exactly does one have to do to get a drink around here? Do you want my money or not??) Told bartender we no longer had a waitress, so she gets us a new one and this dirty-blond waitress cared even less about us and it was clear her other tables still ordering food were more important to her. She wouldn't stop talking to other tables and it took forever to get her attention. She left everything on the table, giant pile of trash and dishes and napkins that we started stuffing in a cup. I was a waitress in my younger years and it was all SO so unprofessional. And for the food to be THAT expensive??? No. We will definitely not be returning. We spent around 100$ with the 2 of us and were so disappointed...
Read moreI was in town just for a couple days and was looking to eat somewhere local and this place hit in the best way. The atmosphere when you walk in is very relaxed laid-back just the way a brewery and bistro should be. The walk up option to order your food and get your beer and have it be to a designated bartender versus just everyone who doesn’t maybe potentially know everything about the beers was very very nice. Loved it so much so that I went back for a second night and made sure to order different things both nights at both the bistro and the tap tried six different beers and absolutely loved all six of them love the idea that they change out the tab every week so that there’s a wide variety of options available so that you have the opportunity to try something that you would not normally try. The pizza, the appetizers the burgers they were all absolutely phenomenal and I have already told my husband that I would like to potentially next year come back for another visit and see what they do with the new lakefront property that they have opening in the spring. And I got to meet the cat Tom Petty, who helps out in the brewery and thought that he was the cutest chunkies, fluffiest, sweetest baby...
