THE BUZZ COFFEE & MORE:
Vibes: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I am a firm believer in supporting local businesses & I will gladly spend my money here over big name coffee shops. Theyre constantly coming out with themed menus & changing their decor with seasons. There are lots of plug in’s for laptops or phone chargers. The baristas are the sweetest in town! So friendly & always seem very happy to be at work which is refreshing.
Coffee/food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I have nearly tried the entire menu, to no one’s surprise 🤣 my absolute faves on the coffee menu are the iced honeybee (honey, vanilla & cinnamon) or the rowdy (coconut & caramel). The pastries are from Helen st bake house & are also divine! Aside from coffee & pastries, they also sell egg cups, overnight oats, bluebell ice cream & snowcones!
Accessibility: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I frequent the drive thru 2x a week minimum but it is so cute & chill inside. For a huge, brand new build, this parking lot disappoints me (not the buzz’s fault at all). There are 2 handicapped spots with a ramp near the buzz & another set a few doors down. No automatic button at front door. There are plenty of low top tables with removable chairs but they are heavy & well made, so be aware of that. Bathroom is genderless, single stall, average sized with a grab bar. I’ve used it with my walker & it was fine but I think a full size wheelchair...
Read moreI had the worst experience ever at the Buzz......This was my fourth time drinking coffee at there rinky dink cafe. It's close to home so I would drink there coffee that comes from New Orleans. I was publicly humiliated by the owner It was a cold day and I was low on caffeine, so I spent some change at the Buzz. I ordered a coffee and had a seat started checking my email and read a few chapters of a book, and what do you know.... This rude woman sits on it and looks dead in my eyes and said I had to leave bc I was making the customers uncomfortable. The truth of the matter is, that I didn't talk to any one in The BUZZ except the casher that served my numerous times. Only thing I said to her was my order. This type of situation stresses me when I see it everyday on my way home and causes me depression about the public humiliation that this Lake Charles Coffee shop owner put me though. I'm not young anymore, so I leave things up to God. I just left my coffee on the table and and walked ot The BUZZ. Starbucks and any other gas stations are better experiences than Mr. Tim Langdon and Stephanie Gardens hole in the wall coffee shop. I spread the word to other locals from time to time ,that way they don't have to get ripped off too. This also helps Lake Charles citizens from public embarrassment and possibly not leaving...
Read moreI’ve dined in around 5 times and have done the drive thru 3 times, I think.
The Buzz has quickly become one of my favorite places. I love the service and the atmosphere the most.
Staff is very friendly - so rare nowadays! I hope this is something that they maintain overtime as a part of their culture.
They have a fairly wide menu variety, so even those who don’t like coffee can find something they’ll enjoy.
The homemade pastry options range from sweet to savory - I’m excited to eventually try them all. But that blueberry cream cheese croissant is phenomenal! I would GLADLY return for that alone.
If you’re tired of supporting overpriced chain coffee shops and food/beverages made by workers who don’t care about the quality of the their products they’re serving, give The Buzz a try. Invest in a great local business!
I hope they stick around for a long...
