On The Rocks — Restaurant in Lake Charles

Dear Corporate Management Team,

I am reaching out to express my deep concern regarding the treatment my friends and I recently experienced at On The Rocks in Lake Charles. As a loyal customer, I have always enjoyed the atmosphere and service, but this recent incident has left me both disappointed and upset.

On our recent visit, we were met with rude, hostile behavior from one of your bartenders, Adrienne. From the moment we entered, Adrienne’s demeanor was unwelcoming, and her hostility was apparent. Unfortunately, her behavior escalated to the point where she outright refused to serve us, and it appeared her actions were influenced by bias, which was highly distressing.

Experiencing this level of unprofessionalism and hostility from a staff member has affected our view of On The Rocks, and I feel it is important that this matter is addressed seriously. I am hopeful that corporate will investigate this situation thoroughly and take appropriate action to ensure that all guests are treated with respect and fairness.

The pizza is AMAZING, so good! Five stars for the pizza! The place is a remodeled hole. Zero stars.

I felt out of place the second I walked in. No, actually walking up to the front door, I already felt uneasy. The first thing I noticed was the loud profanity (only) emanating from the patrons at the bar rail. Then, the smoke. Everyone was smoking. Even the bartender behind the bar! Nasty! It has the feeling of an old rough dive bar that someone spent a lot of money to fix up, but can't get the riffraff to vacate. Also, didn't get professional advice on how to update a bar/restaurant. The strangest part is that for a place that serves food, there is nowhere to eat. Sit at the swear/smoke bar rail, or a couple hightop tables. Almost like they don't want you to eat here. The place itself looks recently remodeled. With a room dedicated to beer pong tables - but why? Several pool tables in another area. And a dj booth with a dance floor. This place could be a lot of fun. But needs help finding its identity.

The pizza here is really good. The hand tossed the DO. It’s New York style so it’s not thin crust or thick crust. New York style is good. They have a decent selection of beers and a good selection of mixed drinks. The interior is really nice. The bar has a cool blue light underneath it that makes you feel like you’ve escaped. They have a lot of bar games like pool tables and shuffleboard and videogames. Probably some other games I didn’t see. I had the roast beef sandwich. It has jalapeño mayo on it which is pretty good. The bread on the sandwich was OK. The meat on the sandwich was very tender. It had I think Brown gravy on it which I am not a fan of but altogether still tasted good. The fries were hot and OK. The staff here is super chill and was attentive. I went there around 5 PM. When I left it look like they were getting set up for the evening. I think they have live bands here in they charge a cover after a certain time. I will definitely go back...
