Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Lake Charles

After getting my pizza the delivery driver on the phone with me that the manager go ahead and tells me that my house is too far away for delivery he didn't even give me the common courtesy that he could do is call me and tell me himself he sends delivery driver after all I did was order pizza an now the only place that delivers to my address because I live pretty far was Papa John's I really love their food and it's going to be a shame to him never going to order Papa John's again I would spend annually 30 to 28 dollars a week so it rings up about 1300 1000 and some change that's the amount Papa John's got from me and I couldn't even get a simple phone call from manager to tell me that they would not be coming this far I got treated like I was not a loyal customer is just fine I'll order pizza from many of the other places I would have been happy to go and pick my pizza from Papa John's but the way that they just took care of this by not even showing me maybe giving me some coupons for some free pizzas or even discounted Pizza they couldn't even bring me my parmesan cheese sauce for parmesan cheese every time they couldn't even give me that I'm freaking tip the drivers if they can bring me my pain cheese I would even be happy to pay a small extra fee I don't even get the luxury of talking to a manager even though I've been a customer since Papa John's has been open on McNeese Street so obviously Papa John's does not care about their customers and if you want Papa John's I would suggest you go to another city and order it cuz the one here in Lake Charles Louisiana they can't remember things straight when you call them and whenever or pizza they tell you that they can't deliver it whenever all that would do is call me like a normal person would and tell her this not wait till they get to your door and after your signing your little thing thanks Papa John's for making me feel like I never want to eat at Papa John's again my name is...

I went to Papa John's to pick up an order made via the online ordering tool 11/6/20 at 6:32PM. The order had a normal wait time for a Friday night (27-34 minutes). I went into the store after the tracker said that the order was ready for pick up and was surprised to say the least. There were about 12 customers in the lobby waiting for completed orders. Papa John's has a contactless delivery feature where once you sign for your order they'll bring it to you outside and this wasn't happening. They had me sign my receipt then went to get my order and said it'd take 10-15 minutes to finish. They told every other person in the lobby the same. The manager asked everyone to go outside for social distancing and states they'd bring orders out to people.

They didn't do this though. The only way they'd give an order was if you asked the front desk workers to recheck. Eventually when the lobby cleared out I went back inside. They gave me my order at 7:11PM (which had been on the ready rack from when I signed the receipt at the register). It took 39 minutes to get what was ready when I got there.

I've been to a few Papa John's and never have had an experience like that. It could be working the kinks out since everyone is just getting their feet on the ground from the storms, but I'd avoid the wait and lack of social distancing precautions for now if you're wanting pizza during busy hours.

The food itself from the order was fine. The breadsticks they kind of dumped the garlic butter sauce into the box and it wasn't on the breadsticks. It could be that it just sat so long it...

Two years later and those men have likely moved on. Regardless, the service is ALWAYS excellent. They are polite and smiling... Make you SO glad you came. Not to mention the pizzas are always well proportioned. From evening to midnight, when ever you come in, it smells AMAZING! ALWAYS CLEAN AND ORDERLY.

The pizza smelled awesome and was a hot fresh DD delivery. The pizza came up just as i walked in so the guy in the back handed it right to me. They were both friendly and helpful. I can hardly believe that people are still welcoming--especially in this weather!
