A Flavor Explosion You Can't Miss – A Must-Visit Restaurant! If you're craving a true taste of Louisiana, you absolutely have to visit Steamboat Bill's. I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and let me tell you, the experience was nothing short of amazing. We kicked things off with the Boudin Balls, and they were the perfect crispy, savory bite to start our meal. The seasoning was spot-on, and the filling had just the right amount of spice as did the dipping sauce. If you love rich, flavorful food, this appetizer is a must. Then came the Shrimp Étouffée – a bowl of comfort and flavor! The shrimp were tender and perfectly cooked, and the sauce was so rich and decadent, with just the right amount of heat to make each bite a treat. Paired with some fluffy rice, it was an absolute winner. The Gumbo was another standout. Every spoonful was a warm, flavorful journey, packed with a great blend of spices, chicken, and sausage. It truly brought the essence of Louisiana to the table, and you could taste the love and tradition in every bite. My wife tried the Baked Potato topped with fried shrimp and shrimp étouffée. Yes, you read that right—fried shrimp on a baked potato, drizzled with more shrimp étouffée. It was like a whole meal in one bite, and it hit every single craving we had for something indulgent and comforting. The flavors are authentic, the dishes are hearty, and the atmosphere is just as welcoming as you'd expect from a place with this much soul. I can't recommend this place enough! Whether you're a fan of seafood, spicy dishes, or just great comfort food, this place has it all. Every single staff member I talked with was kind and professional. I felt like a mere mortal walking alongside the gods.

Don't believe me.....try both and you will see the difference in service and food.
Just this 1 visit, I experienced a female worker picking her nose and wiping it on her shirt, when i approached another female worker about getting my drink cups the first thing she told me was "she can help you"....pointing at the lady that i just saw picking her nose, i had to hurry up and tell her i just needed my cups for my drinks, them forgetting one of my meals I ordered, dropping shrimp off my plate as they were bringing the other meal to me, attitude and eye roll when I mentioned this, and also dealing with the constant chatter about me not being ok with this level of common courtesy and customer service. They clearly communicated that they don't care.
Knowing this was nothing like the service and food offered at the other Steamboat Bills on the Lake, I made sure I made a stop by that one to confirm.
2 totally different customer service experiences. I find it hard to believe the 2 are part of the same company.
But NEVER again will I EVER go this this Steamboat Bill's.
I'm sticking with the one on the lake by I-10 if I ever do come back thru.
When I told them to take off the 1 meal that they forgot to cook, I was told they had to refund the entire order and then rering up the order without the meal.
I now have 2 charges sitting on my card.
I need to speak to the owner. This is ridiculous. That was 4 days ago and was done within 1 hr of the...
Read moreGreat Customer service and staff! The mistake was mine. I misunderstood how an item was listed on the app and called the restaurant thinking I was missing fries from our three shrimp dinner meals. Jason, one of the Managers, came to the telephone then, kindly, patiently explained what I didn't know about the app modifications. Everything he shared made sense. I was open, listened calmly, expressed my appreciation then, ordered and paid for extra fries to complete our meal since it was my mistake. The fries arrived quickly, hot and with an unexpected gift card. My parents and I telephoned to say, "thank you" to Jason who had left for the night. Another kind, gracious manager expressed his and Jason's empathy for our experience with the app, and their decision to show their appreciation for any inconvenience to us even though it was my mistake. I'm posting both to say "thank you" again to them but also to remind readers that even when you and I are hungry, remain kind, humble and flexible especially when the mistake is yours. In the end we only paid for one meal. Once again, we were deeply, above and beyond impressed with this location. Steamboat Bill's- Broad Street, may God continue to answer your prayers, blessing you all with success according to Ephesians 3:20. Merry Christ-mas to each of you and...
