Lovely little bakery! Had a beef and cabbage per my husbands suggestion. It was a huge calzone sized pastry with fresh cabbage, beef, pepper, and bread. Perfection! Definitely filling. Kid got a cook and says he loves it! Sit outside if you can and enjoy the fresh air and mountains.

Such a cute little bakery. It's small inside but they have delicious pastries and even soups. They have a beautiful deck out side with places to sit, and a garden with an electric train that children LOVE to watch! So glad I came here!

We started coming to lake city every year around three years ago and I dream about this place and can’t wait to go back simply to eat here. It’s SO DELICIOUS and the Mountain Views from the bakery are spectacular.

We were trying to visit basically every restaurant during our recent Lake City stay. We were enticed by all the great reviews for this bakery. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. The (1 minute) of service was outright rude and hostile. It wasn’t busy so really no excuse. The server asked my husband for our order. My husband said “ooo I want to see all these options!” since the couple in front of us was in front of the pastry display. The server outright rolled his eyes. Then when we asked about two items he gave us an exasperated sigh. He pointed to them and when I leaned in to see (because we had our dog), he literally yelled at me to keep the screen shut (it was open for one second because he refused to suggest an item). I opted not to order anything. It’s unfortunate but at least this was our only negative experience during our...

We eat here several times a trip. His donuts are unique, filling, and very tasty. We have had the twists, the basic donuts, and the frosted sprinkles. All of them are fresh and delicious. But the ham and cheese kolache‘s are my favorite. The ham and cheese are rolled and baked into the dough and the whole thing is enormous. The bread is so good. Cookies are huge and a bit crispy, but still tasty. Caution, during the busy season you need to get there early and expect a bit of a line, but it is so worth it. The owner is always chipper and hospitable, hardest working guy in town. We love this place!

A year later... 2020... everything is still extremely tasty. We tried his sheet pan pizza for the first time. Phenomenal. Light sauce and crispy dough (the same dough he uses for...

If you are visiting this part of Colorado or simply just driving through DONT PASS THIS UP! My husband and I were waiting across the street for the little grocery store to open up on Saturday morning. We saw the long line outside this bakery with most patrons leaving with several bags stuffed full of treats. We decided to see what the hype was all about and we were not disappointed in the slightest! We bought some doughnut twists, a coffee cake, and an apple fruit pocket, and Oh Man were they delicious! It was the best bag of pastries I have ever had the pleasure to eat in a long time. Definitely worth every bite. We didnt get to have any of their savory treats but according to everyone else in line that morning, they are...
