Disappointing, to sum it up. We came for the car show and were quite hungry during it. We came to Chief’s Pub, and were seated in a comfortably noisy atmosphere. We ordered from a decently large menu, which featured nice and local foods. We ordered fried cheese curds which came after a reasonable amount of time and tasted quite nice. Here’s where it got cruddy: we waited for quite a bit for our food. Our waitress came by after 15 minutes and disappointed us when walking by with someone else’s food, which happened again three times. She came again 15 minutes later saying it was being plated and finally gave us a refill on water. Another 10 minutes pass; HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PLATE THIS. When another five minutes pass and we’re chewing our arms off, she comes by with the food. It looks like it was put together in 30 seconds. (Menu item: 2 Alarm Burger) The burger was dry and wasn’t super flavorful and the cheese didn’t help with flavoring it. The egg on top was bland as well. The only thing saving this burger was the ketchup bottle to the left of me, which I used close to three times. The 2 Alarms were warning me not to get it. All in all, everything was nice except the food and service. So almost everything was not good. 3/10 Everything else must be closed before I...
Read moreHad a zero-star experience here recently that brings my overall rating of Chief's down to a 2 overall. My family and I (2 adults and a child) tried to get seated in the tent outdoors, but it was extraordinarily nose l noisy, so we decided on inside instead. We were told to sit anywhere inside, so we did, but we ended up sitting for 15-20 minutes without anyone in the restaurant acknowledging our presence... no menus, no water, no silverware, nothing. We flagged down one of the many, many people who walked right by us, and told him that we hadn't seen a server yet. He apologized and told us that someone would be right over, but no one ever came, so we left. No one talked to us on our way out. I get that managing a restaurant is tough in the age of COVID, but this was...
Read moreChiefs will always retain a place in my heart because they bucked the trend during the whole covid debacle.
While I'm not really a sports bar aficionado, if that's your thing, then I think this is the place to be.
Bar food is better than average, and service is outstanding.
I did dock Chiefs one-star on food because they dropped two healthy items that I really liked from the menu - baked cod and kale salad.
You can't go wrong with a burger here, and the flatbreads are really good. But I'm not a fan of their pizza, which to my taste has too much cheese and two little flavor. Nevertheless, pizza seems to be a common order amongst the regulars, so I might be in the minority...
