Market Square — Local services in Lake Forest

Parking can be difficult at times and the city lot behind the square is a bit far. Both have a very strict 3 hour time limit. The Lake Forest police are relentless in their pursuit of parking enforcement as if it were their only source of income. There are many different stores and one could easily exceed the limit and be forced to move their vehicle. If you are just going to one store it's a great market. Otherwise go to Hawthorne Mall... A lovely place to spend a day shopping and eating! The park in the center is great for kids to run around in or to sit on a bench and read. There are lots of shops around as well, a great local bookstore included! We went early in the day so it wasn't too crowded yet and we were able to bark in the square but I imagine it fills up pretty quickly. Walking around felt a bit like going back in time to a true town square with a train station...

Great place to shop for quality and unique products. High-end boutiques, skin care/makeup, clothing and shoes, sportswear, jewelry and kitchenware.
