Born's Best Sandwiches — Restaurant in Lake Havasu City

Heard good things about this place from a friend. Upon entering, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The choices for sandwiches seemed very limited unless you want to build your own. I chose to try the Italian and the Club sandwich with no changes made to the ingredient list. My friend sent me a menu with prices when he went and it showed the price for a full sub at 7.99 and 4.79 for a half. I was surprised when I went there and prices were now 11.99 for full and 7.99 for half. Inflation is real and I can understand businesses having to charge more. Totally understandable. These are not big subs at all and I have to be honest, these subs are nothing special. In fact, the Club sandwich was very bland and dry. We both enjoyed the Italian sandwich, as it had more flavor and was not as dry. The amount of meat they put on these sandwiches was laughable, especially at this price point. These are "bready" sandwiches to be sure. This place is a step up from Subway, but Subway is more generous with its meat. Overall, this place is decent, but not a place I would go out of my way to try. I love mom-and-pop sandwich places, but honestly, Firehouse Subs and Capriotti's blow this place out of the water. I've only been here once and was here in Arizona for training but golly when I came here and tried the Italian sandwich they recommended me to try. I can't tell u how any other sandwiches taste but I can tell u that the Italian sandwich they made me was so good there was even juices coming out of the sandwich. This tells me they use fresh ingredients and I could taste everything in that sandwich. Awesome Sandwich Shop, Born's Best Sandwiches.... I ordered the HavaClub on Sourdough Bread with frsh sliced avocado. It was one of the best club sandwiches I've had in a while. Good customer service and orders were prepared in a timely manner. Good food, service, and fast. Everything anyone can ask for. I can't forget they sell AZ Lemonade Stand brand lemonade there.
