Sonora Tacos Y Mariscos — Restaurant in Lake Havasu City

If I could give 0 stars I would. Our booth was not wiped down. There was salt and grease on the booth seats. The salsa was tasteless. I ordered 3 carne asada tacos which were wayyy over seasoned. I took three bites and all I could taste was salt, regardless of how much of the bland salsa I put on it. After 3 bites I threw in the towel. My mother ordered a dry bean and cheese burrito which she described as having a sweet taste. Sweet is not a flavor that I want a simple bean and cheese burrito to have. My mom apparently agreed because she took two bites and was grossed out and lost her appetite. My sister ordered 1 grilled fish taco and 1 carne asada taco. She took one bite of the fish taco and described it as the worst fish taco she has ever had. We are usually not the type of people who complain about things if we have a bad meal. If I order food I dislike I usually suck it up and just dont go back, but today was the exception. The food was just too gross. We politely told our server, who was a sweetheart, and she went to her manager to take some off our bill. The manager never came over to talk with us personally and she also only took off 2 tacos. Her reasoning was that since we took a bite out of the burrito and tacos that we had to pay for them. The fact that we had to pay for my moms bean burrito because she took 2 bites is ridiculous reasoning. How do you know if food is bad until you try a bite? I was born and raised in Lake Havasu but I have been living elsewhere for the last 6 years. I remember driving by this place before I moved. How this place is still in business is beyond me. I read all the positive, recently posted reviews and I'm dumbfounded by them. Do yourself a favor and skip this experience. It ranks as some of the worst food I have ever been served and the management is lacking...

The restaurant was quaintly appealing and full a customers on the busy balloon festival weekend. Our party of five was found a table in the back. Our waitress was very pleasant and brought us menus and drinks right away. She even noticed when someone needed a refill and took their cup to refill it even though they had been busy non stop all morning. Three people in our party ordered Carne Assada burritos and we're happy with that. My sister ordered Carne asada tacos and a side of beans to dip chips in. The beans were watery and not flavorful. I ordered a carnitas taco enchilada combo plate with rice and beans. I was disappointed with all except the rice and garnish. The enchilada sauce wasn't flavorful enough for me nor were the carnitas which were chopped instead of shredded and appeared to have been boiled but not roasted. Basically, I really didn't like the food. We had a great time because of the wonderful company and the fast and very friendly service but sadly, I won't choose to eat...

Worst and most expensive Mexi in town. Bought a combo and an ala cart chile relleno, literally two rellenos with rice and beans totaled almost thirty bucks (26 something) and this is what you get. Disgusting looking food with runny beans all over the relleno and barely any rice and beans for one person. What exactly was the point in giving out tortillas? You couldn't possibly make anything from these plates. Staff was lousy, broken English and mad when you can't understand her. Clowns inside couldn't tell me where to pick up my food and they couldn't break a fifty.

After all this, chiles were over the top hot. Coughing and choking with every bite. What a waste of money. Will not be trying this place again when there's more than enough places in town. Fool me once, that's it.
